So the 10/20 O.E goes 1 hour O8 and then Stud hi low 8 or better for 1 hour and then repeats back and forth?

So whats the point? The best part is the one particular jo who gets up for the stud down, then lobbies the rest of the players to quit because he cant have his way.
If they are allowed to switch it to all omaha at any point, why dont they just start the game as all omaha?!?! Why are they so fing ******ed?
I can't quite understand the whole dynamic of the 2-way game myself.
I realize there's a very strong core of regulars that play the game every day.
They are pretty loyal to the Borgata/Stan and do deserve some say in the game and how they want to play.

But, it's obvious to most outsiders (like myself) that the game should just be $10/20 Omaha 8 (half kill). It'll get rid of all the confusion and walkers, etc.
I'm pretty sure it won't get rid of the arguments/bickering/complaining though, because that's the nature of some of those regs. unfortunately.

I'd like to see the game split for my own selfish reason; I wan't to see a Stud 8-only game around those limits. My suggestion would be to try the following ;
$3/6 or 5/10 O8 (full kill) - Good low limit feeder game for 10/20.
$6/12 or 10/20 stud 8 only game - If it doesn't get enough players, so be it.
$10/20 O8 (half kill) - O8 only, no more 2-way farce.

why does everyone want to get rid of the stud portion? I personally think it's an amazing game, if you actually play poker, not just race to the end everyhand...there is so much to think about and when i played friday i really only saw one or two people walk...and there was even a list for 8 players at one point to get in.....

I agree, stud 8 is a great game. I'd just like to see the 2-way game split up into two separate games. Either a $6/12 or 10/20 stud 8 game, and the existing 10/20 half kill O8.

A low limit feeder O8 game (either $3/6 or 5/10 kill) also wouldn't hurt, IMO.

I love stud8 as well, but I would be fine with them taking it out of the 2 way game just to save the bitching.

As far as a feeder game goes, when they were running the pink O8 the regs were crying their eyes out that it was hurting their precious 2way game. I have to believe if a 5-10 game got going, they would again turn on the water works. If it was a 3-6, not sure, but wouldnt put it past them to still cry.

best chance is to put your name on the list, and be willing to start short.

There should be at least a couple of 5-10 games going. 10-25 will often go as well, though it doesn't always go every night during the week.

Trip was overall awesomeness this weekend despite the snow and no friday tourney, stan thanks again for running such a great room! (this was my 2nd trip of the year and I think its safe to say I'll be back monthly if possible).

10/20 OE and 10/20 Limit were a lot of fun, there was even 4 10/20 games on Saturday night which was great!

I have to say, I still get frustrated with the chips lol....I know it's been talked about before but I've had numerous people comment on my cutting of my chips, lol i was struggling a bit....(why is he shaking, why is taking so long etc) UH CAUSE I CANT CUT THE CHIPS....hahah I need to take some home with me next time to practice!

Question on a ruling in 10/20 2 way over the weekend. A player slams his cards on the table to go flying onto the floor, another player picks them up and tables them seperate from his own cards and makes sure the table and everyone knows that those 2 cards were on the floor. The other player had only 2 cards showing AA. In Omaha h/l do you need to have 4 cards to be awarded the pot? I thought his hand should have been ruled dead and the floor disagreed stating that since he showed his cards they were live (the only cards that everyone saw on the table prior to the 2 going off the floor were the AA - the q9 was picked up from the floor and kept seperate from his cards). 2 things I disagreed with were him getting the pot because 2 cards went on the floor and that the cards were not changed or counted/put in order after cards went on the floor. Are the rules different in Omaha compared to N/L hold'm?

Has PLO been running on weekdays at all? If not, does anyone think that the presence of players in town for the deep stack/WSOP circuit next week will get it going?

Will be down next week from Wed - Sun, hoping to get in some 1/2 PLO on Wed/Thurs...

From my experience/observations, a player can play 2 or 3 cards after a card has fallen to the floor. But if the card is picked up by a non-floor person, the fallen card(s) is/are dead and will make the entire hand dead if not kept separate.

I've gotten a floor to confirm that if a floor picks up the card, the entire hand is good. But I'm still a bit incredulous about that.

Deck should definitely be examined by floor or higher after a fallen card. That is definitely Borgata SOP and I don't think I've ever seen that not happen.

Hey Stan, you gonna cap the 7pm tourney Wed at 300 or can you fit more? Should be a madhouse since the circuit events start this week, right? What time do you think registration will start?

Thanks homie!

Taking a break from some $2-5NLHE action. Juicy 9 handed table.

A highlight hand...seat 7 at UTG bets $35 and everyone up to small blind called. Small blind went all in with $600. Two people called for less, big blind and original bettor. At the end, small blind flopped a set of 8's and the rest mucked. Despite a flush draw on the board (2 hearts on flop and 1 on turn and 1 on river), set of 8's took a HUGE pot.

In other news, 7pm tourney is in progress. For a moment it looked like only 4 tables were at a go. I could be wrong now. ;-)

Anybody know if there is a host in the poker room who can allow players to buy show tickets with comp dollars? Would love to see John Stewart without plunking down 175 for two tickets, asked at the ticket center, and they said talk to a host, but since I pretty much stick to poker, I was hoping somebody in the room might be able to help. Thanks for any suggestions.
