Stan
Hi Stan,

I'm a $2/$5 no limit player who, due to a failed attempt to make diamond status, played exclusively at Harrah's properties last year (I got to 9500 tier credits and then got sick in December and couldn't make it the last 1500). I plan to move all my play over to Borgata, since your poker room is just better, and I accept that I'm not going to put in enough hours to make Diamond at Harrahs, so I'm not going to try again. I played last weekend for around 11 hours, and I'm down again today and about to head over to the Borgata from a motel in Absecon. My question is, how much play would I have to give you before I could start seeing hotel rates for the Borgata on a weekend that are around $100 or less? Is this possible? I would get sub $100 rooms and comped rooms all the time at the Harrah's properties, but I know Borgata is more upscale.

Thanks,

--jman220

Sweet! Got my free parking vouchers today for January/February!

I see a lot of people have mentioned the Borgata breakfast buffet. Is it worth the $15? Is it more then just your typical eggs, bacon, and waffles buffet? I will be down there weekend after next and I think I have some comps that are set to expire at the end of the month, so if it is worth it, I will definately check it out.

jman,

As I have said in many posts, I will help players make the move to Borgata. PM me when you are ready to make the reservations. I am sure that you will, on your own, very soon secure offers from Borgata. Until then, I will do what i can to help.

Stan

It is worth it - if you go to a place like Bread and Butter you get a bacon egg and cheese on a bagel, coffee and juice for about $13...I still go there a lot because my wife likes it, if it's just me I'll do the buffet for breakfast... though bananas foster french toast from room service for $10 though expensive is disgustingly friggin' good - the buffet offers more than just eggs/bacon/waffles, check it out.

Thanks CCx, I will give it a shot. I always hit up Bread & Butter for breakfast (slathered muffin and orange juice), but am always willing to try something new. I am thinking I am going to hit up N.O.W. for the first time this next trip too.

Breakfast buffet is pretty awesome. I only had it once but after a night of hard drinking on my 21st it was totally awesome.

The 10/20 OE game just broke and the floor said he's not allowed to start an Omaha only game on the weekend. Stan, can you confirm this? The last 6 players wanted to play Omaha only, but the floor said he couldn't make the change to Omaha only and now there isn't a 10/20 Omaha game any more.

I'll be there on Jan 25,26 for the limit hold'em tourney. I'm staying Mon and Tue nights and will be hitting the breakfast buffet. Don't forget to get the freshest lox in A/C. It is delicious and high in nutrious OMEGA 3 fatty acids. I suck down some eggs and chicken sausage, occasionally some nice gravy as well. But always finish with the lox, even if you're no Jewish. Try the lox/fresh smoked salmon. The best in AC.

that is all

Well, Sal just hooked us up and put a 10/20 O8 w/ a half kill on the board. There are 4 names on the list so we just need a few mrs people to get it going. Anybody want to play??

Hell, yes, it's worth $15.
I always start with a large glass of tomato juice which will cost you $8.50 elsewhere. That's more than half the overall cost alone.
After eating breakfast at Metropolitan and Bread & Butter, I will never eat breakfast anywhere other than the Buffet, while at Borgata.
The choices are great - you can even have three different kinds of breakfast sausage if you want it - chicken, turkey or pork.
And there is a separate omelette preparation station where you can have the chef make you any type of cooked-to-order concoction known to man.
And I'm not a shill for the Borgata.
It's the best - did I mention it's the best?

There are 5 names on the list right now. I think if we get one or two more people that are willing to start playing, we could get it going. I'll be Leaving in about 2 hours if we haven't got it going by then.

Hey
What's the omaha game like
A lot of good player? Or is it a bunch of guys chasing naked aces all the way
How many people see the flop
A lot of preflop raising
What level of online omaha would the 1/2 game be comparable to

Is it worth it? Let's see - aside from an omelette station, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, strawberries, melon (cantalope and honeydew), cottage cheese, grits, oatmeal, fresh orange juice (in a BIG glass) and probably other juices (I've never asked), cheese blintzes, they also have a wide assortment of bagels, rolls, pastries, etc.

Then, if you want, there are waffles, pancakes, and french toast - along with a wide range of fruit, whipped cream, and other toppings.

Did I mention the Lox? Along with onions, tomatos, capers, etc.? Lots of Lox!

I've probably forgotten something or other. I do apologize for that.

WARNING THOUGH - the place can be hazardous to one's diet.

Other than that - It's really, really, really, really good. Well worth the money.

And, don't forget - if you have a Black Card, it's only $10.00!

both the most move and main game were so soft it was sick. on more than one occasion, i saw a limp call fold to a raise. amazing. i also love the open limp in the cutoff and button position. most of those folks playing last night didnt come to fold.
