What are the chances of getting the poker rate on a room this fri and sat if I've been to the Borgata only once before when I logged probably about 30 hours of play in the 5/10 game?

I play any form of Omaha, HORSE, 2-5 NL and 5-10 NL in Vegas. Interestingly, I won't play HOSE because when I am getting bad cards, I have found Razz will often be enough to keep me in the hunt.

I've played the 5-10 NL in AC several times, but I prefer playing one person at a time instead of two or three teams sitting at the same table.

I would be VERY curious about your route driving to the Borgata from Fredericksburg.
Same. I exclusively play my poker (2/5 nl) only at the Borgata - Stan run's the best room imo. Try to PM me and I will send you my info. I basically take 95 to Philly, stay there, then leave early am and arrive 930am Borgata total drive 5 hours, but well worth it!

When you get to the Belwmar (sp) toll, do you go to the left through that small town, or turn right and cut through the industrial park (turning left at the Wendy's)?

If you guys do get the HOE/HOSE off and running, great! I can always sit 10/20. But, if HO/H goes, I will help to keep that going. I won't play S, however. Even changing every 8 hands is too painful for me
I never understand y everyone hates on E so much. I don't play it that much and average at it but for a change of pace with a $1 ante and $3 bring in I find it to be a lot of fun.

Do O8 limit tend to run on Friday afternoon, evening, Sat daytime? I think the 2-5PLO is a bit nutsy. Anything like the PCG or even 10/20 (half kill?). I'm not referring to the OE game.

In my experience, it's hit or miss. It seems like most of the times I've seen an O8 game, the OE game turned into an O8 game.

For the purpose of getting a black card, they are erased twelve months after you get them. You need 500 comp dollars during a twelve-month period (I believe any twelve months; doesn't have to be Jan-Dec).

I believe comp dollars expire after six months if you don't use them.

There was no game report last Friday. How many did (or do) you get for the noon $220 event? When did (or usually does) it end, if you recall?

At 2 comp dollars per hour at 2/5, 22 hours/month gives you 528 comps dollars over a year... not enough for a black card.

Depends on which poker rate you are looking for. For Fri/Sat they have a $125 poker rate, but those rooms generally need to be booked at least a month in advance.

If you have a fair amount of play, they will give you a better comped rate based on your play.

Getting the 11,000 tier points for a Harrah's Diamond will take less than half the number of hours that getting 1,000 comp points for Borgata Black will take.

e.g.

56 tier points/hour for 2/5 NLHE = ~196 hours to get 11,000

2 comp dollars/hour for 2/5 NLHE = 500 hours to get 1,000

(Assuming it's 56 TP at Harrah's AC)

FWIW, the last time I got my Borgata Black, I had a Trump Executive that they upgraded to Chairman even though I barely made Exec, back in May because things were overall slow. Then I cross-promoted that black card to Borgata's Black. I've cross-promoted a bunch of times, but that one was the easiest.

Short answer is No.

For the past month or so, the OE game will generally run during the day, sometimes break for late dinner. Sometimes it'll go late. I've seen it go overnight, but only as a converted O8 game.

PCGO8 has run only a few times since November. Personally, it makes me a little sad that there is no meaningful O8-only option at the Borgata. I know there's a crowd of regular 10/20 OE players, but I think the player pool for PC or 5/10 is close and potentially larger.

The only consistent O8-only game in AC seems to be the 5/10 at the Taj.

Sorry, I mistyped....it is $1000 comp to get a black card, which is 500 hours at 2/5.

It is much easier to get a Diamond Card at Harrah's....180 hours at 2/5. This is how I got my Black Card.

I am trying to get a feel if we should play stud (and if we should play both the S and E). I think the 8 hand works much better because this way the walkers that we will be forced to endure are gone for a shorter time and on ocassion they may even start playing rather than walk.
-Agree on all points. Can't start a PC O or OE list if the 2-way game is running.

-Do they still deal the stud h/l half of the 10/20 game on weekends ?

-I'm thinking HOE makes the most sense. And, if there's people that want to play S also, why not decide when the table opens.

-100% agree on the 8-hand rotation as well. If someone doesn't want to play stud h/l, it'll prevent them from being away from the table for a half hour.

If there are enough people that want to play O8 only, then they will start a PC O8 game. I doubt you will get a PC OE game if the 10/20 OE game is running.

Yes, they still deal Stud H/L for 30 minutes after every hour of O8. That is, they do until half the table walks during the stud and the table decides to switch to O8 only.
