If I return to poker in a few months then I'm going to change up my game in the following ways:

Less Tom Dwan hand selection, more Jesus Ferguson hand selection
Less Gus Hansen gamble, more Mike Sexton gamble
Less Hevad Khan antics/demeanor, more Christoph Vogelsang antics/demeanor
Less Rob Salaburu tanking, more Yevgeniy Timoshenko tanking
Less Phil Hellmuth based theory play, more Doug Polk based theory play
Less Doug Polk white magic, more Phil Hellmuth white magic
Less Patrik Antonius haircut, more Limon haircut

4 realZ I'm in for a cat/heli skiing trip. My understanding is those trips get cheaper the more people you add, please count me in. Don't really care where

whatever happened to Moby anyway, I liked him, i know he had a major drug problem but hasn't exactly stopped musicians before, especially those who make electronic music

love it, one of the extras actually hangs dong in that film, he's in the bleachers with his dick out while everyone is celebrating and nobody noticed, i'd share a clip here but we're already in midst of a level 4 dick maelstrom and not sure if the pen can handle escalating it

Garrick, has there been much chatter about the outdoor NHL game at the academy?

Has it been a big deal or whatever? Have people mentioned the traffic issues in both coming and leaving?

Honestly, my overall plan has been to make myself a small target so that I can minimise losses/break even vs the good pros while playing harder/taking advantage of the other regs/recs and the worse players but I think I have opportunities to attack the better players by playing counter their perceived image of me. So my plan is to take them one at a time and study them for a few sessions and then think through a plan of how I can take advantage of it them from time to time.

I've realised how taxing it is to really focus, watch and learn though, but I think it should help my overall game and most importantly, I hope it'll be more interesting having a specific study focus
Feely taking on on only one guy at a time certainly is a change up.

I believe that was the movie Lucky You.

Very good imo. They only made one season because FX was a disaster/just starting up at the time.

Gogogo Garrick.

That's one more pub than I have. And will likely ever have, no time to write papers anymore.

Sobering headline of the day:

Millions of Chinese Firms Face Collapse If Banks Don’t Act

Yet somehow the Shanghai Composite is still holding above that $3,000 level.

Rick,

Moby is still around and still performing.

Mike Posner song has me excited for edc. I locked down my connect for the weekend roll, now I just have to get in shape and survive the next 12 weeks and it will be here once again.

Speaking of terribad movies, I turned on the TV the other night and the channel it was already tuned to was playing one of those so-bad-it's-hilarious films.

It was like an 80s cheesy fantasy movie, such as Krull or Beastmaster*, but made recently and they clearly spent a ton on CGI. My wife and I ended up staying up late to watch the whole thing and laugh at how epicly bad it was.

The next day we googled it, and imagine our surprise when we found that the vaguely familiar looking cast was not cheap knock-offs of name actors, but actually known names, and had a budget of $140 million. Someone really hated money!

If your ever in the mood for a true piece of quality cinematic trash, you must watch Gods of Egypt.

was Gods of Egypt the movie where the director said he couldn't make a non-whitewashed version of the movie because no one would pay for it/come see it if it unknown correct race actors in it rather than big named white actors in it?

Well, crap. Just found out that wife's car needs a new engine. Cost is almost exactly the same as buying a replacement for the car (though admittedly, the replacement would have an old engine in it). Tough call.

Topic is aviation history, particularly two Purdue alum fliers from different generations who were connected by a series of coincidental parallels. Its more of a narrative-based piece than an argument driven one.

It is due out in the Spring issue of Air Power History next month. I'll post a link for anyone interested.

It's got two sections on flying airplane shooting, is that close enough?

Yeah, this was for a course. My previous pub was just an article-length version of my MA Thesis. Finding time to write papers just because seems unlikely for anyone not in a research institution.

I'm not at the Academy right now. I'm off getting my PhD, so I really don't know. I doubt it will be a bigger issue than a football game in terms of traffic, though, and they have the flow for those well established.
