I appreciate this, but I think I'm just gonna call the floor the second he starts talking to me and avoid doing anything illegal. But yeah, I'm not dumb enough to hit someone like that on camera.

on the positive note, if you have assault on your record you'll never have to worry about visiting Canada either

Mayweather was ****ing boring. I really liked and rated Jones Jr but never quite loved him for some reason. Greatest Olympic injustice ever. Mark Breland was the best amateur boxer I ever saw

Obviously hard with Johnson given the era and the lack of footage. It’s why I’ve stuck with guys in my era but if we’re going through the eras there’s a load of guys who d rather have arched than him I think.

Ali, Sugar Ray Robinson, Jack Dempsey, Jimmy Wilde, Henry Armstrong, Archie Moore etc etc
Nah Johnson was ahead of his time. While everyone else looked like they were going to punch themselves in the face,
he moved like a modern fighter.

Plus he stuck it to the man by boning down white women.

Only reason to care about MMA is that fish flock to my casino on fight nights. Other than that IDGAF about boxing or MMA.

40th anniversary of the Miracle on Ice. May have to put this in the rotation before I go play poker... especially if there are going to be Russian whales there.

Great speech, movie, and incredible real life event. That documentary from the Russian players' perspective was interesting too. Do you believe in miracles?!!!!

Also reminds me of Tony Valvano's NC bball team. That's just as good.

Played again tonight 5.5 hrs. Have played 35.5 hrs in the last 11 days. What can I say, I'm an overachiever. The games are fuggin sick. I mean they are off the hook good. Getting my mojo back. They are spreading multiple 10/10 games these days. Its been a while since I've played 5/T...but in another 50-100 hrs I think my game should b on point...and ima git into that mix as well and just have the moast epic boondoggle winter evah next year!

Oh the fight so lived up to the hype, at least from the perspective of someone that wanted to see Fury destroy him. I was surprised to see the corner throw in the towel, but before that I had a feeling Wilder might die if it continued like that for several more rounds.

I couldn't name all my favorite MMA fighters because there are so many.

One thing I like about individual sports is that you don't have to remain loyal. If you are a fan of an NFL team (as an example) you have to continue being a fan even if:

- The players are engaged in things you don't like such as drug use or beating women.
- Ownership is bad and your team is doomed to suck for the next decade+
- They hire some jackass for a head coach.
- They decide to run an offense which is not enjoyable to you.
- One of the players is having sex with your wife

You're pretty much stuck with the team. Sure, it is possible to switch but it's tough. I know a guy that switched from being a Cowboys fan to a Vikings after Dallas passed on Randy Moss in the draft despite having Moss #1 on their draft board. His decision to change teams makes sense, but now he's been stuck being a Vikings fan in Dallas for the last 22 years.

In a sport like MMA, you can change who your favorite fighter is as you gain more information about the fighters, and as they change, and as you change as a person. Hell, you can change in the middle of the fight, like if you are cheering for one guy but then the other dude starts showing a lot of heart you can start cheering for him instead.

I was a big McGregor fan when he was coming up but then he wanted to do that stupid boxing match rather than defend his belts so I said "**** McGregor!" and pushed all my support behind Khabib. Khabib has been my favorite fighter for a few years but if/when he fights Tony Ferguson I'm not sure who I'll cheer for, because they are both amazing fighters.

Yeah MMA has a lot.

If I just name my favorite ones off the top of my head for a top ten it goes like:

Fedor
GSP
Jose Aldo
Conor
Khabib
Anderson
Bas
Max Holloway
Dominick Cruz
Amanda Nunes

The boilerplate defense;

1. You have the wrong guy
2. Besides it was self-defense
3. And I'm obviously insane

Radio mentioned that, and it's the anniversary of the inventions of Legend of Zelda and the steam engine.

MMA stars rise and fall so fast that it would be like being loyal to team catcher.
