If we find a new owner, would it be standard for them to pay a pro-rated entry fee for this season?

Maybe. But I'd struggle to ask for $100 from a new guy who had no opportunity to draft or position a team in any way to compete this season, on top of the fact they have no realistic shot at finishing ITM (no offense Muck).

Not opposed to giving Muck some more time either.

i dont think we can expect to find someone to take over for a team with negative EV, and if we do, they certainly shouldn't have to pay anything for this season. If they can put up next seasons money now, and the next $100 in the offseason to lock up a spot/take control of the team now, that'd be fine with me (i will still cover muck.. i dont think you guys should chip in, this is very clearly my fault...well mucks fault.. but mine too)

i think more likely we're just going to sit around until the offseason to find someone to take it.. which basically just means time for muck to get his **** together. if he gets us the $200 (and $100 more in offseason) i dont have a problem with him staying in the league. nice guy, **** happens.

------

in other news.. my team is teetering back and forth between small and no equity, can't decide if i want to buy or sell. maybe i'll do both.
Kemp, Holliday, Greinke, Nathan are all going to be free agents and since i do have some equity i'm not going to give them away but they could help someone, so i'm interested in offers (picks/2015 cash/players worthy of being kept). on other side, i could really use a stolen base guy at 2B/SS, maybe another closer.

I agree with Exit about Muck. It would be really tough to get someone mid season to pay for future and be active. Muck seems like he is getting things together so I would vote waiting it out. If he can't, we find a replacement later. I doubt anyone coming in would pay for this season since it's half over and already lost.

My whole team is broken so I am selling

I would give Muck a final deadline, that works for him in terms of when he gets paid. If he doesn't pay by then he's out. If he doesn't pay, I think we just have a smaller prize pool this year. No reason for Exit or anyone else to pay for Muck.

On more interesting matters, I want some steals. Not wanting to give up elite guys, and I don't need long term contracts. Looking at guys who will cost mid round picks or similarly valued prospects.

D I need to call Jake Marisnick back up? He was on my MLB roster last year and I sent him down when the Marlins did and now he is back. I think there are a few other players on other teams in this situation, lemme know.

No, you may keep him in the minors this season (I'm assuming you demoted him before the regular season started).

I honestly can't remember when I demoted him, it was definitely near the start of the season. Anyhow there he will stay if that is an option.

Just want confirmation Holt qualified as a rookie to start the season and can't be picked up. Not trying to nit it up here, but the rules say "130 ABs" (he had 124 coming into 2014) and not plate appearances (144). Link above is to Holt's FG page.

Thanks

Correct, Holt had only 124 at-bats prior to the 2014 season, making him a rookie according to the rules.

I hereby award you the prestigious Golden Nit award, which is entirely fictitious and has no value. Congratulations.

Thinking of trading Zobrist (2B, SS, OF; 1.5 yr contract) if anyone would like to make an offer.

No, Sizemore is not eligible for demotion. You can only send a non-rookie down if he started the season in the minors IRL before the start of the MLB season.

Did you want to call up Marisnick anyway?

Yeah I'll cut Gavin Floyd to make room.

Thanks

When my Rajai deal goes through, could whoever processes it stick him in the utility slot? No big deal if that can't be done, but I'm going to be away with sporadic internet for the next few weeks and I need those delicious steals.

With 5 picks in the first two rounds of next year's draft, I would be interested in moving some of them for position players (specifically 2B/3B/OF) that I could control through at least 2016. Not in a big hurry, and I'd generally wait for the off-season but it'd be nice to at least not finish in last place.

Of course the bastard steals a base and hits a walk-off grand slam.

Look on the bright side, we don't count RBI.

I'm probably going to have more draft picks than I need this offseason. I would trade my picks for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rounds for a top 5 pick if that appeals to any rebuilding teams. Flexible on what the exact deal may be.
