I agree it's open. I went to the range and changed my grip to make it much stronger. It feels weird during setup but I hit every club much better. I didn't have a camera or anyone to tell me how it looked at the top but just hitting 70 yard warm up wedges I could already tell a difference and every other club felt better, too. I'll find out for sure this weekend when I video myself again.

After hearing my club face was open at the top I searched around the internet to understand what Spenda was talking about and get an idea of what it should look like. It was mentioned several times on different sites that slightly closed is preferred to neutral and being even a little open isn't desirable at all. If 45 degrees is neutral mine looks like 65-75 degrees open which I would say is fair to call wide open.

Thanks for the help.

Nice camera.

How do you like the g15?
I like the G15 driver quite a bit. I love the graphite shafted G15 irons. They are so forgiving that there's virtually no shock at impact and my sensitive hands no longer get sore. Previous to buying these irons I could only play about once very 3 weeks and couldn't practice at all. I had some 13-14 year old steel shaft Titleist irons previously and the first time I mishit a shot my hands would ache for the next two weeks.

This guy won an online drawing to play with Tiger in the Dubai Pro-Am. The catch? He's deployed with the US Army in Afghanistan and needed to get his bosses to let him take a little vacation. It was a local news story here because he's based in the New Orleans area and plays at a course I've played a bunch of times.

I did not know that. Thanks.

I always thought I was closed at the top, but I am actually square according to this.

Wow, I have been watching pipe dreams and really loved it, really pullin for mark Burk, and wow this episode, he's acting like such a douchenozzle. Dude bankrolls him, drives him 400 miles up the coast, puts him up in a nice hotel, caddies for him, and then treats him like an assehole.... Wow just wow.

I am speechless

I believed him early on that he didn't beat his ex-wife/g/f but I'm really not so sure after that episode. He seems really unstable.

It's kind of amazing how normal he can seem sometimes but the car ride, obsession with his case, and temperament on the golf course are all very telling.

I haven't seen a single episode, but you don't get homeless without drugs or mentaly instability...or just explicit laziness. If laziness is the issue he won't have the willpower to make it professionally. If it is drugs or mental issues...well. There is no reason to live on the streets in the USA. I know I live in fairly tale land, but anybody can get a minimum wage job and afford a home, unless you have the issues above. I feel sorry for those whose drug and mental problems land them there, but the notion this guy might be mentally unstable shouldn't be shocking....

I get pretty uncomfortable watching that show as it is, but when he started being a dick to his caddy/friend it was clear the guy has a few screws loose and I had to turn it off. Definitely won't be watching it again.

Ok, so more full review of the SuperDeep.

Everything I have read said harsh on mi*****, but pretty long when hit. I wouldn't say I was swinging super well today, but this thing seemed pretty point and shoot. I would say I average 6-7 fw's a round, and today I hit 13, with the only miss being by maybe 5 yards. So that was interesting. I moved it both ways with relative ease, hitting a couple balls in either direction.

Distance wise I wasn't super impressed. I think going up to the 10.5 probably didn't help anything, and I had it set at neutral so 10.5 is what it was playing. Hit it considerably higher then the 8.5 R9 obviously. Total distance pretty close to normal. And I actually thought mi***** were slightly better on distance than the R9.

Overall relatively happy. The accuracy is fantastic, and although I was looking to pick up a few yards, hitting it the same distance but straighter is a good upgrade. Check back in a month though to see how long the honeymoon lasts.

Yeah Mark is a joke, I was pulling for him but i hope he fails hard. Which it looks like he will with that 81. How could you act like that on the course when your friends put up the money for you to be out there? Pretty sickening.

i could see throwing a club, on a terrible terrible day. I did it once or twice in HS, along with slamming a club twice in past 2 years. However, mean mugging a guy who gave his whole week+ money is flat out terrible... what a classless man.

I'm president of a local non-profit golf club, we are having a fund-raising auction in a couple months... anyone know any smaller companies who could possibly provide items and if so have any contact information for them. This course is located in Brownstown, Indiana, which is basically halfway between Indy/Lville. Thanks

god it was horrible. I was analyzing my swing from 2 years ago when i could actually break 90. OH WAIT I CAN STILL BREAK 90 HAHAHAHA 86 TODAY FROM THE GOLD TEES BITCHES.(gold = "not the back tees"...and the last time I moved up I shot a 74 and went back to the backs immediately.)

I will definitely be putting in a couple rounds this week.

Oh yeah. That is what my neck of the woods looks like, too. I'm playing tomorrow. It was beautiful today so I went to the range. It's like 40 degrees warmer than it was just 2 days ago.

Worked on my driver today mostly. I hate being that guy who tees up 50 drives but it's the least consistent part of my game and after watching some videos, I saw some things that I wasn't doing right before. Mostly I was bending my front elbow on the backswing (and quite a bit). Pretty sure this was giving my clubhead a shorter moment-arm and thus less speed. And having my elbow bent was introducing an extra factor into my swing that doesn't have to be there, making my striking less repeatable and causing slices and crap.

Anyway it felt weird swinging with my front elbow locked so I wasn't doing great but on the balls that I struck well I seemed to hit farther and straighter. I'll try to implement this into my game tomorrow.

Sorry if this topic has been discussed, but what company's golf attire do you like most in both bang for your buck as well as durability/comfort/sweat wicking ability?

Starting to get the golf itch and am browsing some Puma stuff (love their soccer stuff).

I am older, but the Polo RLX line is the best. It is about the only shirt I have found that has a good cut/fit. I am decent size, 6'1 and 200 so usually shirts are built for short fat people. Either the sleeves hang past your elbows or you can't keep a shirt tucked in.

That RLX stuff is the nuts. I wear a lot of Nike stuff too, which I really like for fit/comfort/value. And I have a couple of Under Armor shirts that I love.
