I totally agree. They're great to wear while driving (the steering wheel doesn't slip and remains cool to the touch). It may be a coincidence, but I've also found that fewer cold beers slip out of my hand while at a party or tailgating. They're also great to wear while eating fried food like fries or wings since they enhance your grip and can also handle a quick spray down afterwards.

As an added bonus the left one hides the wedding ring and I've discovered I pull more chicks while wearing them.

I must be weird -- I've used the same glove for the last 2.5 seasons. My buddy goes through a glove about every 8 rounds.

Depends a lot on what gloves you use. I had to change the Nike all-weather I usually played fairly often.

I'm trying a Hirzl glove now - they're supposed to last forever. My friend has had one for 2 years and still uses it.

I've had mine since May so it's a bit early to say, but it still looks and feels brand new.

Anyone watching Big Break this season? The last episode was pretty awesome.

I have it on in the background a lot. Not sure I saw the last episode but I saw Lorena Ochoa break the glass on her first try. That blond girl from Napa valley is super annoying and dumb. Wonder if that tall guy from the south has banged all the girls by now.

It's the episode after the one with Ochoa. I have no idea where any of the girls are from but Taylor is pretty hot.

That was a great elimination challenge. The host's reaction to wayward/poor shots is almost Faldoesque

oh noooooo, he's put it in the trees

If I could pick anyone in the world to punch in the face as hard as I could, it would be the guy who hosts Big Break.

I do the same, hate the crusty worn out glove...I sweat right through my glove even though I take it off after every shot, maybe I need to try a rain glove like others itt

I keep my glove for a long time - mostly because I'm a nit. I lay it out when I get home so it can air out but it still gets kinda crunchy. But within a few minutes out on the course it's already sweaty enough that the crunchiness is gone and it seems to be back to normal.

Crappy overused glove for practice, new grippy one for rounds.

Been playing for 8 yrs, got lessons to start but have been learning as I go since. Play to a 9, best round is +2 73. I've been stuck at 77-82 for a couple years. I should get a lesson right?

Oops. Should read closer. Was running under impression it was seen/being discussed. If a mod could put it in spoilers if they want thatd be great.

My bad. I promise it wont take away much tho

I can't believe Chad's teammates didn't quarter him.

Three chances to get inside five feet from thirty feet away? **** it, I'm going deep

3 really odd things happened today on the course

1) Saw two kids tending to one of the greenside bukers get attacked by what Im assuming were a swarm of bees. I was ~150 out doing my preahit routine when these kids spazzed out and started running/swinging rakes wildly before running to their gators and peeling out.

Hilarious

2) After my tee shot on the 7th I got out of my cart and caught a breeze on my right leg. Reach back only to find a rip from the bottom of my pocket all the way down to damn near the bottom of my short leg. I have no idea at all how this happened. They were frayed a bit so Im assuming I snagged it on something but figured Id have felt it. Who knows.

3) I hit my irons relatively straight and long. Completely flew a 147 par 3 with a giant green and the hole tucked in the back. I was hitting 8i. Never been so happy to lose a ball. If only my distances would start getting consistant....

What do all the plus' mean on the handicap index. I always thought if you got to 0 you were scratch but some people have a + number. I.E.

+5 - ship---this 8/18/2012
+1.9 -Jeyer - 9/24/2011
+1.9 - JTrout - 10/1/2011
+1.8 - getitfixed - 11/01/2011
+0.9 - Maine2Spain - 1/22/2012
+0.9 - MinRaze - 6/11/13
+0.4 - martin_malin - 7/1/2013
+0.2 - LygerWon - 10/21/2012
+0.1 - Ryen - 5/2/13

It means that theyre really, really good.

Afaik, scratch means your "expected" to shoot par. Anything in the + and youre likely breaking par for the round.

At least thats hkw I understand.

Kinda. Not break par, but to shoot that much under the course rating (25% of the time).

In "your" opinion, what is the best Mid range value ball? I'm a 23.6 handicap atm, so don't wanna be spending crazy money on a pro v for obvious reasons. I have tried out the DT solo, which i quite like and the Callaway War bird, but wondering if there is something that anyone would reccomend. I don't want an all out distance ball, though i want something which is mainly about being straight, yet has some feel around the greens.
