The distance is about the same, I just hit lower line drives and get a lot of roll w/the new club which will be a problem when I need to clear traps/water, etc. Is a squared wood more conducive to getting loft or do I just stink w/ this new club? thx for any help
probably has more to do with the shaft

Did the head actually break or did the shaft break?

I had such high hopes for the Brad Faxon Golf Academy series on putting. However, each 30 min episode consists of Faxon hitting exactly two putts and Gary Williams asking him to talk about preshot routine for the other 25 minutes

Also Williams' sweater vest is enraging.

the staff snapped about an inch above the club head. tl;dr version is that I threw it all away in the trash can at the golf course a few weeks ago. I'm kinda regretting that now, should have kept the club head.

Is the picture you posted that of club you broke? If you know the make and model of it you might be able to google it or even check out ebay to find a replacement.

What is the typical variance of an expected score of an average golfer. For instance I am a 21 handicap, but don't I have the same chance of putting the ball 1 foot from the hole as I do 30 feet from the hole since I can't put the ball where I want to anyway. Or the putts that I miss, shouldn't some of those go in a good % of the time? As a 21 handicap I should be able to shoot 85-105 I would think, but that never seems to happen. It's usually around 92-97 is the range every single round. Never varies.

Damn man I wanted to go by the range again tonight and work some more on my 2iron trap draw but I have an ungodly neck pain when I turn my head both ways.

Think it's time to kick my 65 pound dog out of our bed. Or go sleep in the guest bed. I have like a foot of room to sleep on.

Splurged on the ProV1's high numbers in honor of BO. Also got a new outfit Snake Eyes, plain white hat, at least if I lose this match Saturday I'm gonna look good doing it.

I am crazy all over the place, I am a 14.5 right now and my range in 19 rounds this season is 80-104 I think

The long and soft noodle will impress your friends in the locker room but if it can't get hard it is pretty useless.

I assume you are kidding about a 2iron as a 26

Kidding about practicing a trap draw definitely. But I do have a 2iron. My set is like a 10 year old set of Callaway Big Berthas cavity backs that my father-in-law gave me. It's got 2-9 and then 4 wedges. Obviously I don't carry them all because I play with 14 clubs max.

I really don't hit my low irons that poorly. At least not noticeably worse than any other irons so I will carry them if I think I need them.

My typical get-up is:
D
3H
3-9
PASL
Putt

The 4 wedges aren't really necessary for my game. But until I can hit a 3 wood off the tee or acquire another hybrid I will carry them. My wife's dad said he's got a bunch of sets and he'd give me a newer set when I want it but I don't think it matters until I get a better swing anyway. He's the kind of guy who spends an ungodly amount of money on new toys. In the last year alone he's given me about 150 ProV1s that he hits for 1 round then shelves.

Sweet!

Pro tip - if you must throw something, throw the hat, can't break a hat whilst throwing it.

I normally play b330's but ive heard decent things about the noodles. As long as they hold the green decently im ok with that

Older guy I play with who used to be scratch and is still single digits likes the Noodle. Probably has 95mph clubhead speed. Other decent golfers have said good things about them as well.

Yet another blanket, useless post by a self-professed golf god.

Did you even read my post? OK you're right. Even though I can't hit anything smaller than a 460cc club as a drive, and I'm yet to acquire another hybrid, you're telling me I should play golf with 13 clubs instead of 14. I should literally leave my 3i at home next time I play.

And you think you "know the game". LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

By the way, is it 4iron or 6iron? BO says nothing less than 6i. You say 4i. OMGZ WHO DO I LISTEN TO!? WHO IS BETTER? I THINK BO IS THEREFORE I'LL THROW AWAY A BUNCH OF CLUBS. I'll play with D/3h/6-9/PASL/Putt next time. 11 clubs MUST be better than 14, because 11 is greater than 14.

Think before you post.
