If you will drive over 1hr 40 min (2hr my max) Blue Ridge Trail in Mountain Top is a real nice track.

Threw my driver on the tee box and snapped the shaft today...I felt really stupid and I apologized to my playing partners instantly. I was with a scratch 55 y/o psychologist so I thought I would turn to him for advice. Surprisingly, he told me that it was all good...saying that he had never seen a good player that didn't get angry. ''The intensity that you show when you miss a shot is also what makes you the player that you are''.

I guess he's right but it's really time that I tone it down a notch. I usually snap once a round without warning...sometimes the shot is not even that bad.

Define "throw your driver."

Just curious how much force you'd have to throw a club to break it.

Because I'm a high cap I have this mentality that I play worse when I catch up to or get caught up to by strangers. Because I worry about playing well enough around them.

But I'm pretty sure the data would show the complete opposite. I'm almost certain I play better with strangers. I always feel like I get more competitive around other people and just try to match what they do. And my demeanor is more calm and relaxed.

When I play as a single I verbally assault myself after bad shots and just sulk like a big baby. I guess I need to start trying to play with others. Tough to have this mindset seeing as I'm a pretty strong loner/severe introvert.

I broke my Nike Sasquatch driver last year by tossing it up in the air about 20 feet. When it landed, the head snapped off. Got a good laugh.

This. Played with an old buddy of mine for the first time today. We new each other from HS and are OG poker buddies, so narurally were both super competitive. Played better than I have in a while today which was nice.

On a side note, he recently purchased an RBZ stage 2 driver which he let me hit a couple times. Turns out Im in dire need of a nice, modern driver. It was almost as if you could here the ball catching fire off the face as it whistled. My driver never did/does that.

Just started playing, read a bit about gloves. Do I need one? Recommend one please.

No. But they are fairly cheap and are beneficial. Some people don't like playing in them. So they are definitely not essential. But I would buy one.

I usually buy the cheapest Wilson glove from wal-mart. I haven't found the slightly more expensive ones to be any more durable.

Foot joy rain gloves best investment ever. I wear them whenever it's humid out or raining, regardless if I am golfing or not.

lol'd. I once paid a kid in high school physics class $5 to wear his snow mittens the entire period, just because I could. He did, and I paid him.

I wear a glove because my left hand (I play right-handed) blisters terribly from gripping/swinging the club. the other benefits of a glove is a slightly better grip on the club.

anything in the $10-$20 range (regular price) should suffice for a glove that will last for a bit of time.

Yeah - I buy the titleist permasoft gloves on eBay (brand new) in a three or five pack for about $11 a piece when retail is about $16.
