It's about as equivalent as watching a 145 lb dude do pull-ups IMO.
I dunno I think seeing a 6'6" 45 year old that weighs three bills would be pretty neat

The Travis Mash episode was actually pretty good. Some good info throughout and they put down a bottle of Glenmorangie after the commercial.

Dude isn't the smartest, but he has studied and used most training methods out there, so he is at least somewhat wise. Also can hit 125/170, pretty legit for anyone 40+

the facebook blowup is in regards to mdusa losing the mens team comp to team texas at nationals. lotta butthurt over at mdusa over that. they deleted those facebook posts though.

right? first i thought oh smart move he (mash) is like chest deep in young lifters right now so theyre just setting up a recruiting pipeline, smart. but then he says that and its like then when he starts talking about glenns health/coma, it gets really weird.

Maybe to spice it up DT can wear a weight vest and dunk for max reps in a few minutes. Perhaps superset with cleans or something else. I'm sure the knowledgable crossfit bros can come up with something that passes for a legit CF workout. We'll call it the downton.

He looks like he doesn't even lift and I don't mean that in the colloquial sense. He sounds like somebody who doesn't lift and looks down on those who do like he just has the intonation and inflexion of a guy who says "lol LIFTING? That's for insecure macho men! I'm secure in my masculinity" regularly.

Part one was pretty good, too. Dude just ****s on him the whole time.

He seems, to me, like someone who likes the idea of weightlifting, and has tons of cool swagger, but never actually uses any of it. I see this all the time in lots of hobbies that are hard. Dudes who go "skiing" all the time, talk about skiing, and if you ever roll with them they're in the lodge after two passes down the mountain.

I don't even really have a problem with them, they fuel the economies and aren't bad people per se.

Having ten bars and bending them at will because you're just bailing on leet rack pulls and ruining punching bags because you "don't care" pisses me off. Hella wasteful.

If you don't know what you're doing tri-tip can be pretty meh. A well marinated, slow cooked tri-tip can be elite.

Speaking of beef, this is what I just had for dinner:

and also plating?

990 calories/ 90g protein for just the beef. I Grilled them on the BBQ flame broiler fryer until they were almost done and put 2 pieces of dutch gouda, 2 pieces of creamy Havarti, and 2 pieces of sharp cheddar on them while placing the patties on the higher rack and lowering the heat. Then I cut up fresh jalapneo, bermuda onion, and tomato on top of the cheese. Topped it off with a mayo/mustard/relish/ketchup mix for some sauce and wolfed it down in like 4 minutes.

Only 600 cals of cheese? Seems like a fail. Should have gone 1000 cals of beef and 1000 cals of cheese.
07-29-2014 , 06:02 AM
When I was putting the finishing touches on it (i.e. mayo) I thought to myself, 'loco would love this'
