Was that a deadlift? Or some weird thing I haven't even heard of yet?
07-28-2014 , 06:18 PM
So i managed to fall on my ****ty work bike this morning. Was a little late for work and thought standing and pedaling like it was a sprint in the Tour de France was a good idea. The chain snapped and i went tumbling over on my left side.

Beware. Crying frenchman in towel inside.

Spoiler:

Left leg looks the same.

I started a cut in april and lost 10 lbs. My goal was to do another 10, but i`m now 5 lbs heavier then i was then, and no gainz. So also crying for giving in to my nomzies and barely lifting all summer. smh.

I think i might embrace my inner frenchman and wave the white flag on my cut at this point, and gorge on frogs and champagne.

God dammit. I came here to post that CF "deadlift" :|
07-28-2014 , 06:34 PM
I think the CF deadlifts are fairly similar to the Strongman deadlift in that it can be hitched. She definitely didn't lock it out though.

Commenters want to be very clear that it's #notallcrossfitjudges

I did something like this once except instead of the chain breaking I ripped the front gears off

The parts where you wreck something are the funnest part. No one gives a **** about your stories where you sweated uneventfully for 3 hours. They want to hear about how you ran over a snake or smashed into a fence or went into a crack and over the bars. Plus chicks dig scars.

My dad bicycles a decent amount. His seat broke off Saturday (bolt sheared, probably too loose or too tight, idk). He broke two bones in his ankle and gets surgery tomorrow. Be safe.

movie review:

me and my gf were debating between movies to see. i wanted to see apes, she wanted to see the purge: anarchy. the natural solution to this dilemma was to fire up ol' RT. apes in a landslide, a whopping 91%! huzzah!

Spoiler:
the purge: anarchy (note the misuse of anarchy - which means without rulers (not chaos). i'll forgive this flub due to its modern bastardization).

rating: b+

it was everything i expected it to be, perhaps even better. if you can get past the ******ed premise (something i imagine a deranged 12 year would cook up) the action is good. however, the acting is quite flat. not surprising as the actors were all no names.

damn, sons all round

so the owner of mdusa went on a full blown, scorched earth rant in a thread over on the pendlay forums. if you try to, you cannot access pendlayforum.com directly (i think its a safe assumption he shut the whole forum down), but can still through its ip adress ( http://199.193.247.66/forumdisplay.p...daysprune=&f=4 ). read the 'mash coaching at mdusa' thread for deets. admin is the owner, brad hess. its truly bizarre and disappointing.

Yeah I think of barbecue as the food. We just mostly just say we grilled out.

I think pretty standard? especially if in the morning. I used to go play between 2-3 hours of pickup ball every morning without eating until afterwards

Life update: Got a call on Friday that they have finally got a meniscus for me. Unfortunately since the surgeons a big shot I can't get in before the school semester, so I'll have the transplant in December. Going all out to get in shape before surgery

(in before we've heard that one before )

If we could get an homage with both of them in suits with tons of gel/pomade in their hair, I think I could die a happy man.

Pretty sure you have to be way on the aspie end of the spectrum to be willing to devote your life to weightlifting, especially in a country that sucks at it and gives you zero chance to ever win. Probably should have stuck to a real sport and not driven themselves mad doing the same two movements day after day after day.
