So my first thought after reading over all the bios is that Doc sounds like he could be my twin, and I'm either going to have a really tough time reading him, or I'm going to agree with everything he says, naturally want to trust him, and then be constantly paranoid that he was too easy a read. The latter is totally how I felt about Fiction in game 5.

Saying you're a villager is a scumtell on some sites? Interesting. I claim wolf a lot when I play mafia as both alignments. Is that a scum tell as well?

Finnish. My English is fluent enough for you guys to probably not notice the difference most of the time.

I wouldn't have guessed you weren't a native speaker but helps with tone stuff imo. Made road hard for me to read last game I think.

It's not saying you're town that's the supposed scum tell, so much as the unprovoked/exaggerated stating of it, like a first post going "Amen for rolling town!"
Claiming to be mafia is odd, not a tactic I've seen often, and assuming it's long before they could be considered "caught," I'm not sure what I'd make of it. I'd probably consider it a sign that the player is odd/unusual and worth a little bit more attention.

Interestingly enough, no. The claiming town/treating yourself as confirmed town thing is a scum tell because of its manipulative nature. By claiming to be something, some players, especially the lazier ones, subconsciously equate that player with town, which affects their gut reads. Depending on the playing field, it could well be used as a means of manipulating the town on the cheap. On the flipside, claiming scum offers no obvious benefits gained from manipulation, as it puts attention onto yourself, rather than skimming it away.

I play video mafia so sometimes when you say you're mafia the actual mafia if they are new will look awkward and it can give you reads on peoples faces as to who is unsure whether or not you're telling the truth. Its also fun to troll to
I understand that being overly excited can be compensation which I assume is why its a scum read do you think that smartbomb was doing that with his first post or nah? Like if you had to guess.

Fair enough. So did you like my reason for villa reading you? You and slendy both asked out it and I'm not sure either of you addressed whether you though my train of thought was good or not.

Achromatic are you here? You made one post about the morning being good I can't imagine you have been reading for this whole time.

It's good enough for the start of the game for me, yes. Often, if I don't respond, I agree/don't have anything to add.

I don't operate like this. Interaction is how I get my reads and seeing people's progression. It annoys me slendy isn't elaborating on his doran read. Although I do think not saying makes him probably more townie. However he is taking the game very seriously already not sure that aspect is necessarily townie.

Re: The 2015 Mafia Championship: Game 6
I'm pretty excited that I'm voting a wolf. I'll pretend I caught him off my first post when he flips but his enthusiasm he spoke of is not showing through in his posts. Unless he had an 11pm bed time I assume he would be here interacting like Ratchet/slendy
He of course being Smartbomb.

Do I think he was faking it? That's incredibly tough to decide about someone I've never played with before. Trying to get a read this early off of something that's null is a waste of time, but if I had to guess this early, I think he's more than good enough of a player to realize how scummy it usually sounds and wouldn't do it as mafia.

I believe that stating your alignment in your first post is a complete null tell, in case people were wondering. I just personally was that worried.

Good to know you're only null on yourself. How do you feel about that Goat guy who thinks you aren't typing as happy as your words would indicate?

Re: The 2015 Mafia Championship: Game 6
Hi Banks my browser just crashed let me give you the cliffs notes
I think you're town so far but not confirmed at all (as in not obviously town) but you're obviously a very good player and that scares me regardless of alignment, and your case on me is fine for a Day 1 case.

Thanks man love your avatar!
I think Ratchet is most villagery followed by slendy for the fact that they seem to care are interacting well.
Smartbomb seems different I need to read his game its the only one I didn't read any of.
Achromatic was like dying to be a wildcard and made 1 post and bounced when there was a bunch of people interacting need to follow up on what he did/was doing that caused him to not play.
Dorian responded oddly to slendy not sure why but felt weird.
