Cashing out now would be ******ed. The processors are the ones having all the money seized so no matter what getting money sent to them isn't a good idea (if you're not in the US though you probably should cashout). At least if the sites don't go under (aka what quantfund is saying) you'll see your money eventually. That said it's not gonna work the sites would never send money to processors they know will have their money seized.

BTW, US = United States, DC = District of Columbia. US = 50 states and Washington D.C. is not one of them. check inside any federally run building and the flag will have a gold fringe, meaning it is under international military rule and law, not US constitutional law; ie. state rule. Any flag flying over or in a non-federally run bldg will not have this fringe, because our flag has no fringe. Its colors are Red, White, and Blue, without Gold.

Either way, that was a 'beside the point' issue and not a discussion issue for this thread. Please stick to the topic at hand. I am sorry I brought it up.
Does this have something to do with the Illuminati and Freemasons?

On topic:

I'm not an American player, but sympathy for those in doubt about serious amounts of money.

D.C. is not a state. That does not mean it is not a part of the United States of America.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Washington,_D.C.

Anyway, as you said .... this doesn't matter.
04-16-2011 , 02:07 AM
I hope it stays legal in D.C. Everyone would flock there and protest while grinding on their laptops at the same time. Or cake sticks around.
04-16-2011 , 02:08 AM
There's nothing special about DC that wouldn't apply to the rest of the country. As for what exactly is legal and what is not, that is undecided.

He's a conspiracy nut. But it's a conspiracy that's not even taken seriously among the general population of tinfoil-hat wearers

should have stuck to my first 7 characters (lolwut?) and moved on, but i agree, it's an off-topic issue and i won't dwell on it either.

I just gotta say...I'm wondering if the govt got a "cut" of any online poker site..would they be shut down? I doubt it. With so much going on in the world...it's nice to know the FBI has time and manpower to "focus" on online gambling...thank God that they looked into this cause it was really getting out of hand...I mean...to do what I want with my own money I'm just so glad they took care of that. All I know is that they better take care of this the right way because some lawyer out there is just licking his lips ready to take this on. I mean, I can look at a 12 yr old having sex with a donkey in a church (just a metaphor for you sickos) but I can't play poker with my own money...get a clue people...no money for them means they shut it down...figure out a "cut" and let us play again...OBAMA!!

So, I'm kind of a noob to this whole thing, but is it legal to play online poker still in DC? I am seriously thinking about moving there this summer. Will I be able to play? Will I be able to withdraw money???

magic612 youtube, you were all warned, now what?
04-16-2011 , 02:20 AM
When you sign on to FT right now it says to email sasfaf@fulltiltpoker.co.uk.

Is there a chance that all emails being sent to the normal support addresses are either just lost or going straight to the government? When a domain name is seized, are all address associated seized?

FTP is now not allowing US cash-outs. PS is supposedly processing one as of 11:30 PM PDT.

So the President of the United States, and the Congress of the United States, and the Supreme Court of the United States all do United States business from a place that is not part of the United States? And you deduced this because of some gold fringe on a US flag?

Does your nurse know you are using the computer?

No, not gaming transactions, but illegal online gaming transactions. One would have to first show that online poker qualifies as illegal gaming first, and this hasn't actually been done.

Everyone's worst nightmare.

DOJ launched a massive indictment on Stars, FTP, & AP, effectively bringing them down for all US players. Look around the forum, you can find links all about it. It really sucks.
04-16-2011 , 02:28 AM
same question i had
04-16-2011 , 02:29 AM
Wondering if this has any affect on US terrritories, ie US virgin islands, Puerto Rico, etc.?

Banks are not the court. They can choose to do business with whoever they want. Obviously the poker sites approached these banks and tried to run money through them and were refused, so the sites were forced to go through payment processors or U.S. players could not play at all.

I'm gonna feel like blowing my brains out if I can't play poker on the internet.
04-16-2011 , 02:30 AM
Michigan here. I was playing at FTP until about 10 minutes ago. I logged off and now cannot log back in. The only thing I'm getting is: new software update to install. When I try to install it, it just says it can't connect.
04-16-2011 , 02:31 AM
So I'm sitting on a huge chunk of my roll on FTP, but being based in the US can no longer access the site/withdraw/etc. How ****ed am I?

As a DC-barred attorney, I would say don't move. On the other hand, I did not know that DC is apparently a still-functioning seat of the Roman Empire (along with the City of London) until tonight, so what do I know?

You seem like a great poster and 2p2er, but Skall, TE, PX and whoever else wants to make this statement has my full support to do so and I think you need to honestly keep your mouth shut.

I am quite disturbed at how much abuse they have taken over the years for what they have done for us and the people who naysayed and ignored this issue need to be held accountable for their negligence.

I was chastised and given infractions for promoting PPA efforts on several 2p2 forums.

Too put it bluntly, they did tell you so. (not necessarily you, but twoplustwo as a whole)
