I was getting paid around $80 less p/week than what I was earning, due to a miscalculation - they didn't take into consideration all the overtime and Sunday hours that I was working, despite them being part of my set shift. I was told it would be fixed, nothing has changed yet.

And yes, I was paying the rent and bills, but there wasn't much left after that. Enough for a deposit on Fulltilt and some milk, bread, and bananas if I was lucky. Obviously I'd gotten into a very bad cycle and recognized how badly I needed to break it. Needed to get out of my tiny apartment where all I wanted to do was play poker. One night I stayed up until 2am waiting for my pay to go through. As soon as it did I deposited once, twice, three times, and again until every cent was gone. It was then that I actually realized the situation I was in. Call it degen if you want, to me it meant feeling like a total f*ck up. And for any trolls that wanna rag on me, they can waste their energy if they want, at least I've got the balls to be honest and tell my story.

Ehhh? I'm not calling it anything or passing any judgment on anyone. I was just curious the situation. Getting hurt sucks no matter how you look it.

As for the phase 1 stuff, I wasn't trolling since I have no information at all about the study you're doing. Just putting it out there so if people look into this, they know what the terminology means and can make an informed decision.

You know, you can write really well and describe your emotions so good that others can relate to them when reading it with ease. That's a talent not many people have and I think is also a reason why so many people are being so generous. Have you ever thought about writing? I think if you wrote a diary of your feelings/thoughts titling each chapter Day 1, Day 2 etc sort of like this thread but more structured/official, you may have a fantastic peice to end with.

You sound like a smart guy who will turn your life around, learn from the past, your mistakes make you stronger and use this time now to be the point you changed things for good.

Not to try to hijack thread any further, but this kind of sweeping statement is wrong, and is why animal testing has such a bad rap. While the LD50 test is still used to determine toxicity in animals, it is strongly encouraged to use a different test, such as the fixed dose test. There are so many ethical requirements you have to fulfill as a medical researcher, that don't get any publicity. Only the bad stuff.

Plus its rare that they use monkeys nowadays.

Secondly, the "maximum dose" is usually not given to humans, because, as you say, its unpredictable what it will do to humans. They generally look at the lowest dose that caused harm to animals, and give a fraction of that as their maximum dose.

Awoke this morning from a very intense dream, I'll leave out any interpretation and leave that to you.

I was at my grandparents house (Italian descent, not convict), except it was much larger with more corridors and rooms and had areas that I was not to enter. It had an atmosphere that I could only describe as a cross between a medical facility and an aircraft hangar. There was ambient light, and the air was thick and still. I came to a room with a lounge, I sat down and watched a blank television. The lounge was very comfortable. Two black girls entered the room. I had some awareness that they had come from a mental hospital which was somewhere close by. One of them came and sat next to me on the lounge. She was beautiful. She seemed to be deeply in need of kindness. We started kissing. The other girl seemed to have dissapeared. She tasted good. We embraced passionately, and she morphed gradually from African into into somewhere between African and caucasian. This only increased her beauty. We got naked and I touched her and she was so very ready. It was pretty awesome. The imminent penetration never occured however, as I was woken up by an ugly nurse one whole hour before I even needed to be awake. Best thing about this thread if I have done this. Many times. Like 6 or 7. It's how I lived through uni before I found poker.

Seriously, I live like 5 minutes from that hospital and have done these trials so many times, this is hilarious.

Also, because i know it will be asked - ive never had any side effects or any issues shown at all.
