Don't love Vince here...

Not very efficient(not sure why you claimed he was) with a career eFG% of just 48.6 and TS% of 53.6.

His effort has been questioned at times, so you have to worry about that

And defense is questionable.

I don't hate it because its tough to pick at the end of the first round and you miss out on any true superstar though. Meh pick for me

Best
1. Pippen @25
2. Ewing @18
3. Payton @26

Worst
1. Zeke @15
2. Clyde @19
3t. Nique @24
3t. Worthy @37

All of my worst picks are 80s/early 90s guys so maybe I'm just underrating the older guys though.
Agree obviously with Pippen and Payton. I think Ewing was a good pick but not really "omg wow sleeper" good, Howard went right before him and a lot of people seem to think that Howard's career will end up being better than Ewings's. I think Iverson was a good pick at 32 I think. He obviously doesn't have the efficiency, but you can't deny his talents and game-changing ability, and he's someone that can be top-20 caliber if surrounded by the right teammates. Grant Hill was another good pick, in this format his injuries hurt him a lot less than others. Especially when you consider that even after the injuries he came back and was still a pretty good player.

I don't think Nique was really a bad pick, obviously Pippen was there too but Nique was a dominant scorer who never played with another star and was underrated due to playing for the Hawks. Zeke Clyde and Worthy were def bad. picks at their respective spots. I also didn't like the Amare, Matrix, or Dirk picks.

I'd be interested in trading up higher in the 2nd round btw if anyone is interested.

Also what was the results of the snake/reverse snake vote?

It was Reverse. I stopped counting when it got to like 23-9 in favor of reverse.

No, the rules were that everyone had to vote in order to change it.

I'm kidding

I am also interested in trading up into the next 1-10 picks of this round (I have the 20th pick in this round and would move that plus something else).

PM me if you are interested

Trades have to include an equal number of picks going each way, correct?

Vince is a solid pick IMO. He was #5 on my list at my pick. Still some good players available that I would've taken over him, but it's like 7.777 vs 7.778

With the reverse snake, the only kind of trade that is potentially fair is something like mid/low 2nd + 3rd for high 2nd + some mid or lower round pick, depending on how many spots you move up in the 2nd.

Never claimed he was very efficient, just "efficient" given his high usage. There are few other guards with such high usage, but in comparison, his eFG is comparable with Kobe/Pierce and better than Tmac/AI. His TS% is ~2.5% lower than Kobe/Pierce and better than Tmac/AI.

I'm hoping the effort thing won't be a problem, the Toronto situation was pretty bad, but I agree that we can't ignore it. I also admit he's no defensive stalwart, but no slouch either (weak side blocks help his case).

In other notes, I'll try to have my pick up by 11PST, I still can't decide.

PS. and I'm clearly open to trades up until that point.

I don't really like Vince there either. I can think of a few guys here who can score efficiently, are decent-to-good at defense, and have actually given a damn throughout their careers.

EDIT: I am way too lazy to every do that. I would just say, "nice round guys." So, nice round guys.

Building your team around a guy who throws games when he gets pissy seems like a recipe for failure.

Did I mention I'm from Toronto?

ha. When I was typing by position I instinctively put Stockton first and then when perusing the list realized my error and thought "man that's bad".
