Maggette's DRtg is 107. For perimeter players thats around average. lets look at boxscore stats per 36:
4.8 career DRB, .9 stl, .2 blk, 3.4 fouls.
ok, so maggette doesn't force many TOs, wont block/contest shots, and fouls a bit. For his position, he doesn't grab an extraordinary amount of rebounds. Why is his DRtg so pedestrian than?
Here are similar defensive forwards: (running a few querries)
mike miller
rashard lewis
vin baker
interesting, eh? a 2, 3, and 4. those are the compatible defenders to maggette. makes sense too.
anyway, im not sure what im arguing, only, maggette can hold his own, he doesnt add anything to a defense, but he's not quite like a kiki vandeweghe.
