When Rogan asked what's next, he didn't really answer.

Wonder if he defends the title vs Whittaker.

Amazing night of fights, omg. Really disappointed that my girl Joanna lost, think she should retire, she has taken too many shots & rose looked so much faster, sigh. GSP needs to move down to 170, looked amazing but cardio issues will plague him. TJ vs DJ giving me goosebumps, if UFC don't make that fight next i'll be so pissed.

I dunno if Cody is gonna get a return match for the title when he didn't successfully defend it once.

Yeah I know GSP is supposed to fight Whittaker next but I'll believe it when I see it. Whittaker is not Bisping. That's going to be a supreme challenge for GSP and the risk/reward isn't great since Whittaker isnt much of a name at all. I think a superfight with Woodley would sell better.

Great night of fights. Card definately delivered. Only 2 of the 11 fights tonight went to the judges.

see this is you guys falling into the same 'conor has no power above 145' trick with this 'gsp can't hold people down at 185'. it's disregarding and disrespecting the opponent.

but you all do you.

Agreed. Probably one of the best overall UFC cards i've seen in quite sometime and not often you get the main/co-main events to all deliver something special.

Picked GSP over Bisping, had Cody and TJ @ 50/50 but, certainly didn't see Rose winning. IMO, she looked like a champion and probably impressed me the most.

He didn't hold Bisping down hardly at all and the only damage done on the ground was by Bisping. GSP did struggle with top control that he usually makes look easy, what do you think would happen against the bigger, stronger, younger guys like Weidman or Rockhold? GSP had to win the fight standing and he did. I didn't think he could and I'm ecstatic to be wrong but there are at least half a dozen fighters at MW who are leagues better than Bisping. You honestly think GSP is beating Romero/Weidman/Rockhold etc?

Saying that Conor can't hold guys down at 185 bc of Bisping being able to get up was like saying Conor doesn't have power at 155 bc he couldn't ko Nate.

Bisping getting up quickly is one of his strengths, like Nate's chin.

Weidman has actually chilled on his back and been beat on, as a counterexample.

I'm not a boxing expert, but after watching the fight a few times it sure looked like Rose had Joanna completely shook on the feet. That's Joanna's biggest strength, and she couldn't find the distance while Rose seemingly got multiple shots in while taking next to nothing.

I feel like a rematch would go similarly tbh, getting (what I think was) completely outclassed at your biggest strength has to be disheartening.

+1, totally.

To add, Bisping was fighting at 205 once as well!
He does cut a lot of weight while GSP try to gain weight...

You cant extrapolate with Bisping by saying GSP is not as good because he cant hold Bisping down...

I mean vs Whittaker for example, why would gsp have more difficulty ?
Whittaker is coming from 170 as well, not the same thing has Bisping at all.

Props to wonderboy !

Tyron woodley would not beat GSP after what i saw vs wonderboy.
GSP could stood up vs Bisping so imagine what he could do vs Tyron...
Tyron would be way too passif and gsp would jab him to death.
On the ground it would probably be at best equal for Woodley.

I cant wait so DJ mighty mouse have for once some decent opposition ( broke silva record my a$$) vs TJ !

I assume the UFC will be doing everything they can to make McGregor-GSP happen at WW or LW. That fight will never be bigger than right now. It would obviously be absurd to just flip the bird at the MW division by letting GSP vacate or delay for a year and half to go fight Conor but the UFC has made it pretty clear by allowing farces like Bisping-Henderson and Bisping-GSP that they don't care about nonsense like earning title shots or having best vs. best fights.

GSP has said he can make LW so why not go win a belt in a 3rd division and have a superfight at the same time? Let the rest of the MW division ead.

Deal negotiations are already underway for a fight between McGregor and Ferguson so, it's likely that fight will happen before a fight such as McGregor vs Diaz 3 or McGregor vs GSP.

There was talk of the possibility of GSP fighting Whittaker on Whittakers home patch in Australia to unify the belts but, as that card is in 3 months time, they we're waiting to see how GSP came out of the Bisping fight in regards to injuries and whether he would both agree to and be able to meet that time frame of fighting again so soon.

The exciting thing is that, there's all sorts of great match-up possibilities that could take place, with a number of fighters having stepped up and put there hands up recently.

Certainly interesting times ahead...

GSP won't make LW by a long shot, he was walking around a shade under 200 fighting at WW 4 years ago and cutting doesn't get easier with age

Obviously I'd watch it but not sure I wanna see GSP/McGregor. That feels like an LnP fest. Maybe GSP hurts him a lot on the ground as well. But I don't think McGregor has much chance to stay on his feet there and I'm not sure he would wanna do it.

Not like he needs to be fighting GSP to make $.

At the end of the day GSP vs McGregweather is the super fight of super fights though ain't it. I'd say if both of them win a fight or two more first to hype it up a little it will be a massive draw and the biggest UFC event ever.
