Poirier is more complete fighter, no reason to think the fight won't go same way as #2.

I don't get what McGregor is saying there? I do think he is trying to get back to his mind games and getting in the other fighters head which he was as good as anyone at doing from 2014-2016. Just a masterclass.

But Poirier KO'd him 6 months ago, not sure how fazed/thrown off he is going to be

Conor is just trying to copycat Jake Paul. I think Jake Paul's was funnier though. Jake Paul with 15 Million+ instagram followers was only following 2 accounts: Triller (the fight promoter) and Amy Askren (his opponent's wife). He was following her because she thicc. That's with two Cs, T H I C C.

That video on Conor further confuses me on the fight. It looks like a bluff. But I"m already on Conor. Occasionally it happens that you just are utterly stalemated in getting any traction at all on an match up and this is one for me, the more info that comes in the more it is an unreadable situation. I'm tempted to say I defy anyone from having a good read on it, but I know better. I always respect the variation is frame of reference of handicappers, can't defy that. Is anyone claiming to have a confident side?

Head says Dustin, gut says Conor. Not confident in either ldo.

I was on Dustin last time.

yeah same....Everything logically points to Dustin wasted him 6 months ago, why wouldn't he now? McGregor doesn't have a quality win at 155 since late 2016. Game changes fast in these lower weight classes and you gotta be all in with this sport.

But the crowd, the atmosphere, McGregor's composure and power just makes me think maybe Dustin gets caught. Not like he is hard to hit and McGregor punches a lot harder than someone like Holloway.

I think Thompson schools Burns, just don't see Burns being able to get inside or get takedowns and Thompson will school him standing.

Conor sounding almost like Rudy Guiliani now. Pifitul stuff. But I think he's more ready this time than last, at least. No idea of the result but took Conor a while back trying to read it. Flip it I'll just go back to my peak/valley theory. Dustin had a career peak experience last time (although he did react very level-headedly and chill in the immediate aftermath). Even Secretariat, Korbut, Bill Walton suffered severe slippage after super peak. Plenty more. A few don't.

Someone above said head goes Dustin, gut Conor. I'm a gut guy on those calls. "Intuition": a subconscious processing of information in your data base.

In spite of unreadable spot my play is taking Conor in a KO and being wrong . LOL. Trying to cover my karma bases which is key in gamblin'.

Thinking the line will move toward Poirrier and I hope he wins. McGregor is acting a fool. He's an embarrassment to the sport, to himself, and to his country. Imagine a guy with one win in nearly 5 years saying disgusting things about stars of the sport's wives. What a champ. If he loses he'll go down as chump chump and probably go off the deep end and be 6 feet under in 5 years.

I look forward to the day UFC get rid of Conor and he has to resort to Bellator. Should be a comfortable win for Dustin tonight hopefully.

Poirier is sort of like the Stipe Miocic of the LW division. I love to watch him fight but he brings no excitement to the buildup of the fight. After Conor murks him, the UFC will feed him to Islam Makhachev and he will never sniff another title again.

Some of these takes...oh Lord! I can’t be the only one...Yeah Dana would totally let Conor leave to Bellator. I was never a big fan of Mcgregor, but some of you are obviously biased.

Conor is selling the fight. UFC champions were making 6k/6k before Conor. Ask any fighter that made 9 figures if Conor is a joke.

In the first fight, Dustin knew exactly what was coming, and still got landed on flush in the face. He was nearly out. I’m no expert but that tells me Conor’s striking must be in another level. You know exactly what’s coming and still can’t get out of the way of it. I don’t believe that Conor can’t take guys out at the higher weight classes. 36 year old Nate Diaz just took everything the #2 WW had and the guy couldn’t take him out in 5 rounds.

You guys have me cheering for Conor in this one. Porier is going to sleep this time if he can’t avoid his pea head getting landed in the first round. That’s a recipe for disaster, unless you’re a ND.

Conor 1st Round KO

Something I havent' seen is face stomps, or body stomps for that matter, when the opponent is down. That's illegal, right? But the back flip was a face stomp.

In real time the back flip looked illegal. If he tagged Niko's head with his foot or leg then it's clearly illegal. Ref missed it.

Edit:just saw the tweet replay above. Definitely illegal.
