I was thinking the same until I remembered that Nick is suspended again

I think the blood ruined a great fight.

Don't think either guy is suited 155 tbh, Pettis had a fat head and Poirier just looked like a pumped up wee man.

Joe Lauzon got knocked to **** out by Clay ****ing Guida. Made me sad.

Is there nobody qualified in Woodleys weight class or are all the top 6 contendrrs fighting each other? Idk, i just dont get this one.

The issue is the person that should be fighting him is wonderboy and don't know if there is much appetite for that fight a third time. After that its lawler and rda who are fighting each other.

Theres also covington I suppose but that fight wont bring the ppv buys and woodley would likely destroy him.

Looks like Woodley might end up getting the Mighty Mouse treatment in UFC.

Lawler is fighting in like 4 weeks, might as well just wait till that fight is done to schedule the Woodley fight.

At least Nate Diaz will fight.

my take is that he would prefer not to fight so soon with him having a shoulder injury. he's balancing the big payday with a lower ranked fighter in Nate. still a risk if he's not able to land power shots on Nate and knock him out.

Werdum arrested for assault in Australia, allegedly hit Colby Covington with a boomerang outside a hotel. He might not fight on Saturday.

Sounds like some kind of mismatched cultural crime.

Woodley should fight Colby Covington at this point, he beat Maia & i feel Colby is doing a gr8 job playing the heel recently, he will bring attention to the fight, good move for Woodley to take such a contest.

UFC should also give Ferguson the 55lb belt as well & let him defend vs Khabib.

I'd imagine Woodley loves the Nate fight. Fight he should win and make good $ for doing so, what's not to like for him?

If he can't get GSP then it is the best move for him.

The six-year old should at least be allowed to defend his belt imo.

IDK, it's been a year since he won the 155 belt and looks to be another 6+ months before he fights again. He has been healthy, so he just ties up weight classes by not doing anything. Give Ferg the belt and move on with fights while they negotiate with CM. He comes back saying the belt is his yadda yadda yadda, we get a hyped fight.

It may be stupid but i would think ufc would be hesitant to have Conor vacate the title because in the promotion for his eventual fight they would want him to have a belt.

Mcgregor vacating the belt & fighting Diaz makes the most sense considering that's the fight they want i nthe first place & we fans get to see Ferguson vs Khabib which is the best matchup to make anyways. Conor should fight nate & then GSP & retire pretty much as he seems to just want $ at this point.

Sadly, i would bet on this happening before he has 2 title defenses.

It's a pipe dream. The Diaz's just aren't that good. Couldn't see Nick beating any legit contender.

Tend to agree with this. There tough - no doubt about it but, IMO there missing the x-factor that is required to rise amongst the elite.

Diaz bros are easily the GOAT fighters. GSP and Condit and all the baby ass point "fighters" just game the system for dumb victories. Yeah you hugged a guy for 10 minutes or threw baby leg kicks, did you inflict any damage or threaten at any point? No.... so sit your ass down you suck

LOL @ someone from Stockton stating the Diaz brothers are "easily the GOAT fighters".

Unbiased statement of course...

Nate was a contender at LW 5 years ago, ditto for Nick at WW.

Not many guys that were in their prime contenders 5 years ago are still in the mix today. Basically no one at LW, Aldo at feather and he is the GOAT there, Cruz, few guys at MW, Bones who is GOAT. That's like it.

And HW where there is more longevity.

And I don't think Nate is at that Pacquiao level where he can hit the canvas and still fight the big fight like nothing happened. It would absolutely hurt his chances for the McGregor rematch if Woodley just ran through him (which he likely would)
