Got my tickets for UFC 208 in Brooklyn this morning. But my god this looks worse than some of the worst fight nights of the last year.

Seems to be a lot of very exciting fighters coming into the UFC these days - The korean superboy, platinum Mike Perry, LandGoat, and Mickey Gall.

Chuck Liddell thinks Ronda might get beat LOL

Video didn't load but don't know why it's LOL. If Ronda tries to trade on the feet with Amanda she is going to get disfigured worse than Holly did.

so there is footage of Ronda's striking in recent days.

It actually looks *worse* than it did before. Holy hell her coaching is awful

Ronda literally does not know how to properly throw a punch. She does not know the basic form that anyone who has taken a month of boxing classes knows. She can't even shadow-box correctly. Good god. Like, is her coach telling her 'Ignore hip rotation! just push your fists forward with shoulder power! And make sure to rotate-flick your wrists really hard on every punch! You want to hit them with your pinky knuckle! Keep your head as still as possible!'

I'm far from a boxing expert but I felt the same from watching, just wasn't sure I was right. My first real girlfriend from hs is taking boxing classes in her early 40s and posts videos on Facebook hitting mitts. I legit think she looks better than Ronda.

I'm hoping that these videos are essentially a troll and Ronda/Edmund's strategy is very heavily takedown/submission based for this fight, in which case she should be able to get hold of and crush Nunes easily.

Only problem is I can't get Edmund's outrageously deluded strategy chat after Rd 1 of Rousey/Holm out of my head, and I can imagine him being foolish enough to think she should just try to knock Nunes' head off in an attempt to prove a point.

Anybody watching?

Emmett/Holtzman was a great scrap and the Leslie Smith fight was a lot of fun too.

Just turned it on, haven't seen many Faber fights but they said Faber is HoF. Is that true?

Faber is the 2nd best draw in featherweight history. Until he lost to Frankie Edgar, he'd never lost a fight that didn't have a title on the line. He started his career 21-1 with 5 WEC FW title defenses.

He is absolutely a legend.

Faber also owns one of the most successful MMA gyms ever. #teamalphamale

Back in the day, him and Migues Torres were the two lighter weight class non-UFC killers.

Until Mike Thomas Brown showed him what was up, twice. First time was thought to be a fluke, reminds me of King Mo with Emanuel Newton. Shocking upset finish followed by a decision loss.

If it was a UFC HoF, no. But MMA HoF - definitely... he dominated the WEC days when the UFC didn't have the lower weight divisions. Might be the reason that the UFC even bought the WEC and thus gained the lower weight classes. Sucks that he lost like 4 or 5 title chances in the UFC, but he was older and past his prime by the time the UFC bought the WEC

Conor just said he wants a fight before the baby is born, he thought the baby will be born two months earlier. Woodley for the belt, make it happen.

I think he should consider his retirement.

He hasn't aged a day since like 2005 and schooled a tough prospect like One Punch.

And the Frankie fight has a weight class higher than he's used to.

Have no idea why Spike won't show Bellator in 'real time' instead of these 'highlight packages'.

The UK channel made a mess of just showing the highlights of Bellator 169 as they showed the third round of Sinead Kavanagh vs. Elina Kallionidou again instead of the James Gallagher vs. Anthony Taylor fight.

I don't think I've seen a more 'gutless' performance in a main event of a MMA show than from Satoshi Ishii against King Mo...made Shamil Abdurakhimov look 'heroic' against Derrick Lewis.

Thank god. Champs shouldn't be allowed to avoid a fight for so long anyway. It's just stupid.

If the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor boxing match ever happens...

Well it's all about talking up a good fight as well as selling tickets and PPVs. The media hoopla over it would be amazing and probably even challenge Mayweather vs. Pacquiao in terms of interest.

Conor McGregor and the support network around him are deluded but the money has probably blinded them that they're masking it with bravado. If this was inexplicably an MMA fight then "Hell, yeah!" but it's boxing so no chance that Conor wins. Conor wasn't good enough to go into professional boxing and to think he's going in at the deep end regardless of Floyd's retirement is ridiculous.

Floyd Mayweather is the best micro-managed boxer of all-time. Every fight he's fought he has had an advantage.

If it happens boxing aficionados and those that sneer at MMA are primed to be smirking and deriding MMA more so than they already do.

Does anyone actually want to see that fight? I don't think i've heard anyone deluded enough to suggest he has a chance.
