Not saying a ton, but yeah, stopped any take down attempts which was a nice improvement.

does McGregor have lead inside those gloves? That still don't explain him stuffing every takedown

What are you talking about, I was rooting for Conor you dumbass.

Conor hasn't had a ton of impressive fights to this point. You can list the 2nd fight against Nate and the adjustments he made and maybe the fight against Porier because of the size.

He outclassed Eddie but we've been saying for months that Eddie isn't the best LW, he just got lucky to be the champ. Conor still has Ferg, RDA, and Khabib if not another against Nate.

i guess any other card it'd be decent. but based on the talent and expectations, it definitely underperformed imo. i had people over and they were asleep before mcgregor, so they'd concur.

Khabib vs Conor

Pros

-khabib is 8-0 in the UFC and fundamentally deserves it
-khabib gave a great sound bite calling out Conor in a creepy Russian accent

Cons

-easy fight for Conor to lose IF khabib can take him down before getting tagged
-weird matchup stylistically that will be determined solely by
A. Conor knocking khabib out early.
Or B. Khabib taking Conor down and asserting his will

It might sound crazy to some but I think Conor takes this matchup. Watching the way Johnson was tagging khabib in the beggining: khabib had no counterstrategy but to weather the storm and continue to move forward. He looked like he got rocked a couple times but was able to eventually secure the takedown, and from there it was ballgame

He's flat out obliterated every opponent he's fought bar Diaz. Remember when he slept the P4P #1 in 13 seconds?

Just absolute drivel.

I'm a Diaz fan and I don't even understand how you can say "Conor hasn't had a ton of impressive fights"

RT you're embarrassing yourself. "Yeah it's good that he stopped takedown attempts" - what totally context devoid universe are you living in?

A 13 second KO can only be so impressive. Compare that to like what Wonderboy did to Hendricks.

The big reason the Aldo KO was so impressive was because he hadn't shown a propensity to be chinny.
