Conor didn't show up last minute for a big scheduled media obligation. Ronda negotiated not doing the media in advance and they specifically agreed to it. To say that is the same thing is nonsense.

Rousey has been away too long for random fans to know she has returned, add the fact she hasn't done much pub and I can understand if it's a lower PPV sell. I would think she would want to get out there and talk some sht and promote the crap out of this fight.

Yeah and for some reason they've replaced all of the 5s with 22s. Something not right there.

OOOF!! Not a great start to UFC 207 with the first fight between Tim Means & Alex Oliveira declared a 'no contest' due to an illegal knee by Tim Means.

I had Means to win via KO @ +333 so that kinda sucked. I dont get how that is a downed opponent tho. I always thought that if it was a hand down then you are downed. Obviously the rule is more complex than that.

The ruling was stupid tho. It obv wasnt an unintentional knee which makes me think the ref might have messed up calling a timeout so made a ruling that made it a no contest so noone loses.

I'm surprised that no one knew it was illegal...isn't this how early Anderson Silva lost one of his early fights, via an upkick to a "grounded" fighter?

What threw me off was when they went to their "expert" and he said it was a legal strike.

It was basically like how in the NFL they dont know what a catch is. The rules expert said he wasnt a downs opponent, the ref said he was a downed opponent. Then the official ruling was a no contest due to an unintentional knew when it was clearly intentional. Whole sequence made no sense

10-9 Cody

Looked really good, just wonder if he can go 5 rds. Cruz could probably go 15 rds.

nasty cut

not sure who won rd 2 but Cody decisively in 1 and 3

edit: Cruz needs a stoppage obviously....Down huge on the scorecard.
