The whole thing is hard to accept however it truly happened. Say he did actually believe she was his girlfriend and did die as explained, what's with the lies about meeting her? Was he lying about sending her flowers for her service? Who doesn't visit their girlfriend after she is simultaneously struck down by a horrific car accident and cancer? Plus, amateur analysis, but I watched that interview where he talks about her dying and he seems way more like a sociopath trying to fake sadness than a genuinely distraught person.
