Meh, once it comes out that he was in on it and he confesses/gets exposed, I think it's worth it. This story is just so ****ing out there.

Does anyone know his academic history? Maybe he was just scraping by and wanted some sort of excuse to get breaks on turning on late papers or taking make up exams or something like that. A lot of college kids put a lot of thought on scamming this type of stuff.

Or, maybe he wasn't planning on graduating and was scamming his parents so he had an excuse for dropping out after this semester and just playing football.

I'm not putting a lot a weight in this, I'm just raising it as a possibility.

I think if he actually was 100% a victim of a hoax it looks even worse.
