so on average they were speaking ~8 times/day w/one of the calls very often being over an hour? seems no one in the te'o camp is good at basic math. no two human beings could have possibly near the amount of stuff needed to carry on that many conversations over that time span.

Supposedly they had some really long calls. Like 8 hours or something. Eats up the time quickly.

Tuiasosopo has been odds-on to be gay from the beginning, not sure there are any "latent" homoerotic desires. The Te'o-is-secretly-gay theory pretty much presupposes Tuiasosopo's homosexuality, for example.

Alabama got early word on the story and it explains why they were so good at eluding attempted tackles by Te'o; they were afraid of being caught by teh gay.

OMG now we definitely need to hear from Tuiasosopo and his supposive female cousin Kekua to clarify she never talked to Te'o. This thing just put the hammer down on gay concerns.

This reminds me of the story of the alleged Holocaust survivor Elie Weisel. He has gone around for 50 years claiming many things, and he is the biggest name associated with the Holocaust. Yet two of the things he is known for are not even true. There was a picture in the New York times where Elie Weisel claimed to be one of the prisoners, and it is obviously not him. This picture partly launched his fame. And he claims to have a tattoo on his arm from the prison camp, yet it has never been seen.

There is some sight out there called Elie Weisel Tattoo and just because the person who has it is a racist anti-semite doesn't mean that Elie Weisel isn't the biggest fraud on the planet.

What is similar about this is how the media and the public will allow a bull**** narrative to go on and nobody has the guts to do real analysis and call people out on obvious nonsense (just like you never once see an announcer stand up to someone like Ray Lewis when he goes on and on about God). Sure, Ray Lewis is allowed to believe what he wants, but you will NEVER hear a legit question about it from a reporter. I mean, even if Ray Lewis were to luck out and it turns out that there is a God, his reasoning makes no sense, and it is idiotic to state and believe that this God cares about the AFC Championship game.

There are lots of lies floating around out there. Either outright frauds like Elie Weisel, or terrible ideas like the one's Ray Lewis has. Most in positions to make a difference do not have what it takes to expose bad ideas and outright lies.
