Good 70th birthday interview with Viv Richards on the BBC if you can access it.

The artificial drama of the TMO referral is beginning to annoy me. You don’t need 30 seconds to work out that the bowler has caught the ball in both hands four feet off the ground.

We shouldn't need many runs. We have a terrifying bowling attack

Happy for Bairstow getting another 100. You know how sometimes you just like or not like someone? Well, I’ve always liked Jonny although I’m not really sure why.

His first 140 innings: 6 centuries
His last 3 innings: 2 centuries

I like Bairstow because he looks like a lower polygon Stokes

Bairstow was also the one who discovered the body at the age of 9

This may cause me to be mocked by the more macho posters, but I really like watching woman's cricket.

Speaking of women's cricket, England is 0/3 at the ODI WC with games remaining against IND, NZ (hosts), PAK and BANG. Probably need to win all 4 to make the semi finals.

It's the first time in men's or women's cricket that the current world champion has lost the opening 3 matches.

NZ v ENG looks like the big game as NZ hasn't had the best start themselves, with a surprising loss to WI and a thrashing against AUS.

And … this is why test cricket is the most enthralling sport in the world. Well done Pakistan and Australia.

And then it got worse, I think that dying of boredom is a thing.
I know that sometimes in test cricket nothing happens and it can be the most exiting sporting experience, but this takes vacuous to a new level.

Brathwaite scoring 160 at a strike rate of 32 is some plodding.

I've actually enjoyed watching it but probably it's because it's in the background whilst I'm doing other stuff.

Maybe Joe Root could give Steve Smith some lessons in how to convert 50s into 100s.

No balls cricket podcast got me a lot more into women's cricket. Previously I'd just scour scorecards to look for anomalies like Mali being bowled out for 6 or Sophie Devine scoring 109 when the team is chasing 128.

World cup is really heating up.

Reckon England will reach the semis and anything can happen from there (but Australia should win)
