its t20 so hard to get too exercised, but i'd much rather NZ won. preferably on the last ball due to a terribly unfortunate fielding incident involving warner and smith
Perhaps they can run into each other in the deep while chasing a catch?
Whoevers strategy idea it was to bowl pedestrian long hops angling down leg to Marsh and Maxwell all through the innings... They have a had a shocker...
Wow how comfortable was that win. The kiwis would be devastated. I guess the difference in the end was the quality of the NZ spinners and something they really need to develop to take the next level. Also not a great result for England with the confidence this gives the Aussies heading into the ashes
I'm not sure there's many in England that really expect anything out of the ashes. We don't have like any fast bowlers fit apart from Wood and we know swing bowlers like Anderson/Broad/Robinson don't get piles of wickets on flat decks in Australia. We don't seem to have a spinner and I don't think many of the squad truly want to go. Seems like a recipe for disaster. Hope I'm proved wrong.

Agree. My guess also is that a couple will get in trouble from nights out on the town once it is 3 nil up to the Aussies.
England bowler Adil Rashid says he heard Michael Vaughan make a racist comment to a group of Asian cricketers, becoming the third player to do so.
Rashid's former Yorkshire team-mate Azeem Rafiq alleged Vaughan said "too many of you lot, we need to do something about it" to him and three other players.
The allegation, which Vaughan "completely and categorically denies", was corroborated by former Pakistan bowler Rana Naved-ul-Hasan, who said "systematic taunting" occurred at the club.
In a statement to The Cricketer, Rashid said he could confirm what Rafiq had said.
He'll probably start commentating on cricket for GB News where he'll bemoan cancel culture and decide that if Johnny Bairstow wasn't so woke he wouldn't have such a gap between bat and pad. Seems to be how these things go now.
I’m certain racist things were said by a load of people in the past in cricket and in all walks of life, albeit it’s also impossible to prove. And there would have been team/group cultures where racist things were said in jest/as dry humour by people who wouldn’t have thought they were harming/hurting people and who would have stopped if they’d been challenged on them.
Doesn’t make what they said right but also potentially doesn’t mean they should lose their careers
A friend of mine has a book coming out in January that, I’m sure, is going to create a lot of waves in the cricket world. Johnathan Agnew, who has already been kicked out of the Cricket Writers association, called him a c*nt when he read some excerpts.
I’m not sure about the background on that, but the TMS gig is a very comfortable job so I expect it’s purely because Sky wasn’t an upgrade for him.
I spoke to my author friend yesterday. An advance copy of the book was sent to Bumble and he sent back a scathing review within minutes. He’d never even opened it.
