Wouldn't surprise me if Stokes bats 4, like he did for Durham when he first came through.

Sadly I don’t follow English domestic cricket enough to know. I just know that he isn’t a test quality number 5 (and Burns isn’t a test quality batsman).

There may well be no obvious better solutions but that would be incredibly depressing.

Malan isn't in the squad
Broad isn't in the squad
Anderson isn't in the squad

Yep, I agree with the three batsmen being dropped.

Pope made it still? He at least looks like he has a quality technique, even if he keeps getting out

They've kept the young ones even if they're bad but you've got to be quality if you're 30+

And apparently if you're 35+ you're out even if you're good.

superover in AUS vs SL t20. aussies blew a massive advantage up to and including SL needing 46 off the last 18 balls, and 18 off the last 6 balls

steve smith headbutted the earth trying to save a 6 in the final over, to no avail

Love to see an underdog doing well (unless it's against England)

RIP Rod Marsh.
From an England supporter the “Grudging admiration “ did come with a lot of grudging, but it was still admiration

I saw some tweets about Shane Warne and wondered why they were saying Shane Warne rather than Rod Marsh. Wow, just 52yo.

Gutted.
Bumped into Shane on first break of the WSOP ME in 2013 when we were having a smoke. Had a short hello with him.
Returned to the same spot on second break and we started to chat.
At the beginning of dinner break we met at the same spot and instead of having a smoke he invited me for dinner with him. Liz Hurley wasn't too impressed that he'd brought along some random English bloke to talk poker with over dinner.

This one hits hard, the absolute most allround genius cricketer in the history of the game has passed.

RIP Shane, what a character and champion

This is inappropriate, so probably appropriate for the guy.

My friend Linda had a bit of a “thing” for Shane.

After I told her that I had seen him polishing the ball on his balls at old Trafford, she just said “Wow, you lucky bastard”
