I still think the Titans can win the division without Britt. Their schedule is pretty weak, and CJ hasn't done anything yet. Nate Washington has been playing well, which has been a big plus. On ESPN they were talking about the Titans picking up Moss or TO, but it will probably be Justin Gage. The D has been awesome so far (I think rated #1 or #2 right now). Losing Britt sucks, but with the Colts done and Jax sucking (how Ten lost to them is beyond me), it's between the Titans and Houston. I still can't see Houston making the playoffs.

If anyone wants to bet on Titans winning division for $50 or $100, pm me

TEN has Buffalo and Denver and the Texans have Oakland and Miami

I guess that's a wash, and we're both 2-1

I'll take the bet, I get all three and you get TEN, $50 on paypal?

Yeah, my $50 to your $50, I get Titans to win division, you get Texans, Colts, Jags.

I'll confirm it in the Prop Bet thread.

Texans release Steve "I'm Awful" Slaton, former 1,280 yard rusher.

Good riddance, Steve!

Radio guys were saying they kept him as the #4 to try to showcase him this year then trade him (lol).

He ended up with 7 rushes for 20 yards. Take aways his long 13 yard rush and that's 6 attempts at 1.17 per.

I remember last year RT Eric Winston said he knew when it was Slaton carrying the ball and not Foster because, (direct quote) "he runs full speed right into my back".

LOL

how can you cut a guy rushing for nearly 1 more yard per carry than the highest paid back in the league!?!?!?

My loose proclamation that CJ.2K and Turner might fade out around the same time (mid-2012) is looking pretty decent.

This just in, running backs go from elite to not really quickly and giving them huge contracts for longer than a couple years is ******ed unless their name is adrian peterson. yes i am aware that most rb deals are structured in a way that reflects this.

In news that might shock some, Colts officially punt season, IR both Melvin Bullet and Gary Brackett

In news that should shock no one, SD IR's Bob Sanders

Colonel Sanders is more reliable and he's dead now.

I was thinking about Slaton tonight and realized I no longer will have to hear a CBS guy rave about how Houston has three one-thousand yard rushers on their roster AND Ben Tate!

Texans with a good win today I guess. Even with the obvious ref riggage they still won by 7.

Ref riggage saved Big Rape from a sack-fumble, a pick-6, and the Texans from a blocked kick return for TD. Game was a lot more one-sided than the final score looked. Refs just had to make sure the Steelers never got down too much.

Andre Johnson injured looks like some kind of hammy. That's not good. Arian looks like he did last year. First time someone broke a 42 yard TD run off the Steelers in FIVE YEARS. Obvious difference between him and Tate and anyone who thought otherwise (Assani, Pudge, Vixt, etc.) is pretty dumb and doesn't watch the games.

Wonder if Texans will sign a FA WR. Moss? There's almost no way McNair goes after Moss. He's just not "the right kind of player to win with". Kevin Walter and David Anderson may see more time. Dorin Dickerson may get re-signed for some depth though I don't expect anything out of him.

The problem is they only target AJ, then after him they target 2 tight ends, if not 3, before they seem to target #2 WR. Would like to see Walter get more work like he did a couple years ago. Owen Daniels looked like the beast of 2009 he was. James Casey had another couple grabs today. I think Tate tweaked something today and only had 2 carries.

Mario looked great today with 2 sacks. 5 sacks in total just a continuation of the Wade Phillips pressure we've seen this year that wasn't even a thought last year. It's nice to see.

I'm starting to worry a bit about Schaub. His touch passes over the middle have been horrible all season, and he's also thrown several open guys downfield too high out of their reach. I don't remember him doing this much the last few years. Not sure wtf is going on but it seems he's only comfortable throwing out of that damn bootleg running to his right and lobbing it downfield.

We still didn't see a single slant, fade, or delayed handoff today. Just the same ol' crapola.

I guess I shouldn't be complaining but it's also a good sign to be 3-1 and have stuff to complain about. Let's face it if this is going to be a Super Bowl contender they still need a lot of improvement. Kubiak's Runrunscreenpunt offense for the last few drives was not inspiring. He must have thought 7 points was a 3 score lead? (FG, FG, FG obv!)

**** Kubiak.

Still got a couple tough games coming up against Baltimore and Oakland. The Baltimore game is important since Tennessee already beat them. I..... really don't see us winning that one especially if AJ is out. Harbaugh will coach circles around Koobz.

HOU gets handed the damn division and is going to win it at 9-7. Make sure to lose with dignity in the first round, the AFCS is counting on you.

Titans are saying not so fast my friends. Could be a legit sweat. Hasselbeck fountain of youth seems completely unsustainable but CJ2K is getting on track and defense possibly very good.

Not gonna lie I'm not thrilled about the Titans. And they always play Houston tough and it's allllways physical. That is probably the only legit "rivalry" the Texans have. Colts have been too 1-sided and Jags-Texans have been close but it's never as physical or confrontational as the Titans-Texans. Not to mention the Titans are the old Houston Oilers. And VY was there for years and he was the Houston star blah blah blah **** that guy.

That the Titans are 3-1 with CJ2K sucking balls is a bit scary. And like I said they already beat possibly the toughest team left on the Texans' schedule.

I'm not worried about TEN, more annoyed than anything, but they've had 3 cakewalks and one tough home game. Texans have had two cakewalks, a tough home and road game. Right now Houston's resume is better, but if AJ and Tate can't get healthy in a hurry this good start will mean nothing.
