No I meant the cutting of Garrard so that he "couldn't get another job" part.

Texans with a win today. Playoff chances probably just increased by... 3%

No way, this was a huge win for the Texans' playoff chances. Clearly cements them as the best team in the AFC South, which means they just have to hold on and keep doing what they're doing. Even with all the ****ty stuff.

nath, being facetious obv. This was a huge game. The "only" other game Houston might need to win this season is the 2nd Titans game.

Manning died a hero. Didn't get to catch the first half today but is CJ2K a giant bag of AIDS now or what? The radio guys were basically calling him a shell of his former self and intimating (actually just flat-out saying) that it looked like he was scared of any contact and would just go down immediately.

idk I mean he doesn't make anyone miss he kind of just crashes into the line, I'm sure if the Titans OL ever opened a hole up he'd house it

CJ2K just really hates Matt Forte, showing the Bears what happens if you pay big money for a running back who is a huge % of your offense.

Remember in 2008 when Slaton, Forte, and CJ all had "monster" rookie seasons? Slaton is out of the league now (unless Miami still has him?), CJ is about to fall off a cliff and Forte, with an ebolaline is somehow having a career revival. Javon Ringer had some decent runs today so I don't know if it was all blamed on his line.

Tebow looked better today than Blaine Gabbert has in all his good moments all season.

Ponder...I'm gonna hate Gene Smith forever when Ponder is an above average starter to top end starter and the Jaguars are trotting out a 40 year old Donovan McNabb.

Caldwell's postgame press conferences are so great.

"They just outperformed us"
"We didn't do anything right"
"We couldn't stop anything"

Who's fault to you assume that is Jim?

Oh god, the local news guy interviewing Colts players is even better. Total deadpan voice asking questions like:

"So does a loss like this just punctuate the kind of season you're having"
"Does a good team like the Saints really show how bad this team can play at points?"?

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
Jeff Saturday:"...we got outcoached today"

First the trickle...

Saw like 3 Facebook statuses/tweets today about how the Colts are intentionally sabotaging their entire season to get Luck.

This person also suggested that this was somehow planned so Manning could "hand pick his successor".

Like, I can't even wrap my brain about how idiotic that is.

Really liked the way the Colts stuck it to the Dolphins and said, "we can fail harder than you, just try us."

It's a whole new coaching staff and they had a short off-season which he held out of and took no snaps with the team prior to Week 1. It seems like he just doesn't understand what they are trying to do. Plus he got paid so there goes that motivation. I don't know what to think of him saying that he's the same RB and the decline doesn't have to do with him.

Looks like an inside zone run. With the exception of the safety, everyone is manned up.

Look at that B gap. I'm not sure it could possibly get any wider. At this point, I suppose CJ is "making his reads". Well, I've got some news, CJ. You're doing it wrong. Given the choice of:

a) Continue at full speed through the B gap where there is only one defender between him and the endzone, a corner.

and

b) Slow down. Cut it back. And navigate through a sea of defenders.

CJ chooses the latter.

Ugh. 2009/2010 CJ could potentially have turned this into 6 points. 2011 CJ goes for 1 yard.

Cj is done. May not have 2000 yards combined in the rest of his career, he doesn't care....he's getting paid!

Also, I think this year shows that polian is not a genius gm but kinda got lucky to have manning.

There's a reason I was fist-pumping earlier itt when the idea of them signing him to a long extension was talked about.

Guy's only 26 but he's already been tackled over 1,100 times in his career (touches minus TDs). And still probably over 1,000 if we subtract runs oob (where he doesn't take a hit). He's 5'11" 195 and a speed back. 4.28 40 speed doesn't last long when you've aged 4 years and been beaten on 1,000 times at that size. So awesome that in 2 years he's gone from 125 ypg to 44.

He will have a bit of a bounce back towards the end of this season or next season. Learning a brand new OC and HC takes some time and showing up for none of the off-season has an effect. Hopefully he takes enough criticism throughout this year that he decides to give a **** again and puts in some work over the summer.
