Hey guys, I am about to buy a new CPU to play. Which version of Windows is running the smoothest on Bovada right now? I know some had some issues esp XP due to being "too old/outdated" but not sure if newer ones are troublesome as well

Thanks!

if you are buying a new cpu that won't change your operating system. Your operating system is on your hard drive.

I'd say Windows 10. I haven't had a single issue "knocks on wood" at least since the casino switch.

Has anyone redeemed the 20% madness deposit bonus on bovada? Does this give you the Bonus instantly in your account? Is it worth it?

Not sure how much of a difference that casino tab trick does. At least on my end. Biggest problem I have is the app will stop responding and I will have to close it and load it back up again. Seems to happen a lot when messing around with the tournaments.

Come on Bovada, what zee hell yo??

HA! Just referenced a friend to Bovada right meow.

Not really sure how I feel about it. Probably gonna think I am a bad friend after he sees this crap software.

Does anybody know how to get rid of the 'your ID or password is incorrect' message box so I can actually sit at tables when its not wrong and I've been on other tables for the past 4-5 hours?

Edit: I don't want to exit my current tables because I have no idea if Bovada will let me on any others, and I'm certainly not giving up my MTT buyins by blinding out when the client is broken, again.

Usually when that happens the servers are screwy. Happening to me atm too, takes a relog.

Anyone else who uses Kaspersky get a message about a network attack not being blocked or a message about an attack being blocked when opening bovada? Right when I started the bovada client I get this message. It shows an IP of a possible attacker. Seems weird. Not sure if its just the way bovada interacts with windows 10 + Kaspersky or if someone is actually attacking my pc when I start bovada.

Running bovada on zee macbook right meow. It's running much much smoother.

So yeah, everyone go out and buy a new computer and it should help out drastically.
I have a one year old macbook and my software freezes constantly. Curious to see if you encounter this issue as well. Sometimes it seems to work fine but I just got booted twice in 5 mins just now. Pretty infuriating given it's always worked fine for me until very recently.

Does anyone have software that they use to track their bovada results? and/or any easy way to track bounty money collected in KOs?

Yes, maxed it out and it's worth it. I was able to clear mine in about a week and a half playing mid-stakes. It's insta-credited, but you can't w/d those funds until you clear it all.

I just got offered another free 10 tickets for BDPO, so I now have (x2) $11 tickets and (x18) 22$ tickets.

Anyone see a better value for the 22$ than the 162 sattys? Seems like those are by the far the best use of them. I don't really do MTT's much on BV, so figured I would ask.

I bought a brand new Macbook in February and have the same pinwheel of death freezing issues that many people have complained about ITT. I was playing on a 3-year old Macbook before that, and had the same issues. The issues started immediately on the new machine, with no discernible improvement from the old one. I know I'm a sample size of one, but based on this anecdotal experience, I'm pretty sure that the age and quality of the Mac is irrelevant. Seeing so many other people with the same issues, it sounds like the problem is the Mac software just sucks.

FWIW, it's pretty random for me. Sometimes I can log on, registered for 2-3 tables, and have everything load fine and play my session without a single freeze-up. Other times, it freezes and I get pinwheeled repeatedly and am constantly force-quitting and re-opening until I have reached the brink of a homicidal rage. It works often enough that I haven't quite entirely, but the hassle definitely reduces the amount of time I play.

It does seem to happen almost exclusively when either: 1) registering for a new tournament, or 2) a new tournament window opens. As a result, I try to stagger my registrations. Registering for multiple SNGs that aren't yet full is a definite no-no, because if 2 or 3 of them open at the same time, the pinwheel is almost guaranteed.

I would call support, supposedly they can manually opt you in. As I learned today, if you click on "opt-in" but it doesn't actually work, then your points will not count toward the bonus tickets.

Anyone planning on using this promo who hasn't been actively monitoring it, check right now, because there's a chance you weren't opted in even if you clicked on that and thought you were. If you still haven't been opted in, call support right away so they can manually do it.

-Warning, minor whine incoming-

I received the first email about this promotion on March 7, which told me about the promotion and told me to opt-in. I found the bonus on the client, and clicked "Opt-In." Foolishly, I assumed that actually following the instructions would opt me in and register me for the promotion.

I received another email today about the promotion (which I had forgotten about), so I went to check how many points I had accrued since I clicked "opt-in" (back on March 7 or 8) and how many tickets I had acquired so far. Much to my surprise and delight, it was saying I had earned 0 points toward the promotion and was still giving me the option to "Opt-In." I then checked my poker point history, and I have accrued about 375 points since March 10 (first day I played after clicking "opt-in"). So, I should have qualified for a 10+1 and 20+2 ticket by now.

Called support, spoke to rep, he said he was manually opting me in now and that all future points would count toward my bonus. I said, basically, "thanks, but I would also like credit for the points I have earned since I originally opted in to the promo back on March 7 or 8." The response was basically "No chance. You should have called us and told us that our software sucks and you weren't opted in even though you did exactly what we told you to do to opt in." I'm an occasional, recreational player, so I don't really keep tabs on my points/bonuses. It seems foolish that if a player clicks "opt in" for a promo, the onus is then on the PLAYER to confirm that they were, in fact, opted in. Maybe that's naive of me.

After getting nowhere with phone support, I sent a written message. No response yet (other than the boilerplate "here's your number, we'll respond as soon as we can"), but I'm not optimistic.

If you want to participate in the promo, verify you're registered!! And if anyone else has had this issue, and success with getting retroactive tickets for points you earned but weren't credited, would love to hear it.

Update on bonus problem, just received an email from support saying that I will get credit for points earned since the beginning of the promotion and will get the corresponding tickets. Haven't hit my account yet but email said should be there by tomorrow. Mac software still freezes a tilting amount, but +1 on CS resolution of this particular issue.

Anyone have the problem where the client will randomly just close? I don't get the d/c warning it just closes all my tables and the client whether in a hand or not.

Yup, about once per session for a few months now. I have no idea how to fix.

Are there any known issues with windows 10 and bovada? I have a Toshiba laptop from 2012 that has somehow held up great outside of the battery. It has windows 7 with 6 ggb of ddr3 ram and I almost never have issues with bovada on it. But I want a new laptop with better battery life and have tried out two models that should be significant upgrades. I had a Lenovo yoga pro 900 with an I7 processor and 8 gb and it was constantly locking up on me. I returned it for a HP spectre that is loaded up with 16 gb of ram, i7 processor etc... and I am having the same issues. both machines run windows 10 and I wondering if that is the issue because spec wise should should be a pretty high end laptop?

I'm thinking of taking a trip to vegas. I play in a state where Bovada is allowed, will I be able to play there? Probably wait till I get back home before I withdraw or anything.

I know that new players and deposits are banned in nevada. Can't seem to find any information on this, maybe someone can PM me.

Or you could just write or call to Bovada.

Call Bovada customer service. Tell them the dates you'll be in Nevada and that you would like to play online while there. They will put you on hold and come back saying you are authorized to play only on those dates from Nevada and if you are still playing after those dates they say they may ban your account. I have done it several times without any problems.
