Ha I tried to warn you but did not know what to reply other than the redundant you have to SEE it. I swear they make it confusing on purpose. Also, it takes 24-48 hours to issue but you get 30 days to use it so it helps to have them in your cache/backed up.

And when you place a bet your bonus balance will see a deduction NOT your cash balance.

Its okay everyone messes up the first one including me.

Also whenever mma is on I always place like an 11 way parlay on the underdogs for 50cents. It usually pays 98K. Ive never hit it lol

Anyway, the key to getting rid of the lag is to get your 4 tables running, then switch lobby to the casino games tab (where there aren't nearly as many update inquiries by the lobby jamming your PCU.) Soooo relieved I found this out. Can actually play poker like a real human being now.

Anyone have an opinion which is tougher, 25 NL Zone vs. 25 NL Cash game.

I used to feel Bovada 25 NL Zone was on par with Bovada 50 NL Cash. Not so, anymore.

Any thoughts on this?

My experience has been that the regular games are easier. I usually had 3-4 fools on my reg tables at all times...I ran 2.8bb/100 @ zone over 125k hands and 14.4bb/100 @ reg tables over 188k hands. FYI it took me about 8 months to get that volume... I think that 25NL zone is probably harder in terms of achievable win rate in bb's than 50NL or even 100NL reg speed tables simply because of zero reads and you cant find the fish. Which there are plenty of...I also know that for me, personally, the faster nature of the games makes me sometimes under think a hand due to lack of time.

Generally I would agree with you, but lately 25NL Zone seems very soft with a lot of calling stations..you rarely used to see that.

Thanks for those numbers, with a good sample size..

+1

My EVBB for 25 zone is 3.01, while 25 regular is 11.24

Stu, from my experiences 25z is definitely tougher (in terms of BB/100) than 50nl regular.

Thanks! Appreciate your EVBB numbers. I figured 25NL zone historically was tougher to beat than 25NL cash but I didn't think there would be that great of a difference!

I don't think that the difference is that great considering that it's the bb's per hour that really matters.

Yeah, my sample isn't very large for reg. tables though, I think I'm running a little hot at them. If I were to guess I'd say 25z is probably more like 2.5x harder (in bb/100 of course) than regular.

I've continued to play mostly zone though because I've always thought the increase in hands/hr makes up for the games being tougher. Being limited to four tables makes me hate to have a regular table taking up space that could be filled by a zone table of the same stake, making more money.

Looking at the #s now though, regular tables might be better to play. I don't know if the h/hr @ zone is the 2.5x faster that it needs to be to make up...but I need a bigger sample to see.

Tried to get on via iMac. No luck. Couldn't even load a table. That machine is a bit older and runs a bit slower.

Running bovada on zee macbook right meow. It's running much much smoother.

So yeah, everyone go out and buy a new computer and it should help out drastically.

The sound problem has been a little weird. Bovada stopped supporting XP and Vista so on those 2 operating systems the sound doesn't seem to work anymore as far as I can tell. It might be some kind of driver problem that also sometimes shows up on some players' newer systems for some reason.

they used to run a bingo game for 50$ of bonus money in late 2012. All you had to do was complete all five challenges and they would credit your account. This second comment was too funny, I had to post it again.

Sorry but BINGO is a stupid promotion imo

When comparing "difficulty" between the two game types it's not possibly to compare winrates (even allowing for a theoretical infinite sample size) unless you take the rake into account.

Eg, 2bb/100 v 12bb/100, say, isn't "6 times tougher" as rake is going to be 8bb/100 (just guessing) so really it's more like comparing 10bb/100 with 20bb/100. That is, twice as tough.

Zone is probably tougher, you will have a lower win rate, but better hourly.

No better way to explain it then this way seeing more hands outweighs having a higher winrate for me because the hourly is higher

True, thanks for pointing that out I forgot all about rake for a second.

So if we go with 8bb/100 rake, 3.1 bb/100 versus the 11.24bb is actually 1.7 times "tougher"

But after rake, however you look at it, profiting 3bb/100 is still 3bb/100 and 11bb is still 11. It might not be correct to say that it's 3.7 times harder, but nonetheless it's still 3.7x your $/100h.

I wish there was a way to stop this from popping up every time I log out/in. It's kinda tiling when I rage quit after losing like 10 buy ins and this guy pops up laughing in my face with raining money.
