Yes if by "problem solved" you mean "here's a way of dealing with this problem by spending a bunch of money"...

We've outline some steps below that should help resolve the SSL hand shake issue you're experiencing. Please follow the steps below:

1. Reset folder permission.
2. Turn off and on modem, restart computer.
3. New admin user created.
4. Run the software on safemode.
5. Uninstall / Reinstall the software.

We recommend contacting Mac support for assistance in resetting your folder permission, as this may contain commands that'll need to be executed.

If you're still unable to log in, we’ll require a few details about your browser. You can get this information on our website by selecting the ‘Browser Info’ link at the bottom of the page, or by clicking on the link below:

http://www.bovada.lv/browser-info

Once there, the information we need will load automatically, so all you'll have to do is click ‘Send Report’.

what folder?
I've already restarted my computer.
already re-installed the software

this is driving me crazy
I received the same email. I called their support line, and they said their techs are working on a solution right now. Hopefully it will be fixed by tonight, missing my 1k hands of 10nl today!!!

And to those suggesting parallels, that's fine and dandy, but running parallels on a non-new machine tends to be laggy, and deprives you of tools like iholdem indicator.

Every week there's an issue with the mac client. This is nothing new.

It costs $30 to buy and install windows 7. At least that's what I paid as as student.

I have virtual box running with windows 7 and it lags. I might have to give this a try. Would I have to get another windows license if I use boot camp?

Has anybody else been waiting dumb long for HHs to be available for download? It's been over 50 hours for my last session and they are still "not yet available".

Jason Somerville has been suggesting bovada to about 12,000 viewers on Twitch.tv almost every night. I expect a major increase in traffic soon. The target audience is people who know nothing about poker. This could be very good for the low stakes players.

True lol, but he did sign a deal with Twitch.tv(a billion dollar streaming site). He is now featured on the front page often and gets thousands of viewers who are video gamers who want to play real $ poker. I don't think it can hurt at this point. He has been pitching Bodoga for anyone outside of NV/NJ too.

Is anyone else using a Mac having issues with opening the poker client? I keep getting the message - "there seems to be a temporary problem affecting the poker client installation. we will continue to attempt to download the client (SSL handshake failed)." Then it just quits

They are different. Boot camp means you boot to a partition on your hard drive that is solely for windows OS. Parallels you are running both Mac and Windows OS simultaneously I think.

I use boot camp since I just run all games and poker software on windows 7.

The whole buying in to a tourny late, being big and small blind then getting table transferred to a table UTG+2 is very annoying. Kind of defeats the purpose of ever considering buying in late.

Has anyone solved the Mac issue? I've un-installed and re-downloaded a couple times, updated my computer, restarted etc and nothing seems to work.

Also I deposited using my debit card. I've only deposited twice ever and it worked both times. It might depend on your bank though
