I tested it out and I get faster speeds downloading files and gaming. Then I logged onto Bovada and the lag was unbearable. I immediately turned on my old jetpack that still has service and everything is running fine, no lag.

I hope this is helpful in piecing together what the problem is.
If all I used something like this for was to play poker on Bovada for say 40 hours a week, how many GB's of data per month would I need in a plan? Thanks.

I think 5 would probably be plenty. They have a prepaid plan and I think it's $60 for 5gb and $100 for 10gb.

Bovada barely uses any data and neither do online games. If you stream video or music it will eat your bandwidth though.

I have a Mifi5510L and have been using it for a couple years now with no real problems on Bovada. The Mifi6620L is the newer one that I got that isn't working as well. It gets a stronger 4g signal but it lags on Bovada for some reason.

Even if it goes through, a constitutional challenge in court should eradicate it, should anyone be willing to do so.
It's certain that the initiative of the Government of Quebec will create a legal battle. I think the ISPs will challenge the law because of the dangerous precedent that this will create, particularly with respect to censorship, as you rightly mentioned. Moreover, if the law was to take effect, ISPs should in protest also block access to the Lotto-Québec site since the alleged purpose of the law is to protect the consumer. Is it really better for the consumer to lose money on a gaming site only if it is the government who benefits?

In the debates of the parliamentary committee, it says that the government has decided to proceed without obtaining legal advice, a pretty clear indication to me that the government knows that these legal opinions would be unfavorable.

The government plans to launch a call for tender following the application of the law to allow some gaming sites to get a license. However, it is likely that the conditions for obtaining such a license will be so exaggerated that sites will prefer to refrain from obtaining a license, given that the Quebec market is not large enough to justify all the trouble it would cause them .

Thank you for informations about the TPP, it is one more argument in favor of ISPs and poker players living in Quebec.

From everything i have heard and seen, there are no fees on BTC deposits. From Bovada anyway.

Big deterrent for depositing was near 10% fees between foreign transaction and the flat 4.9% bovada charges. If they allow withdrawals to btc it will be amazing.

Randomly got slapped with the "need verification" email today. I've made numerous deposits/w/d's, so it was a bit unexpected. Nonetheless, not too hard to comply with, just kind of bull**** that I'm not allowed to play again until they verify me.

I know others have gotten this, but is it std operating procedure to not allow you to play until you're verified? Seems like as long as I couldn't depo/w/d it wouldn't be an issue.

I read the last couple pages but couldn't find anything and the search function on my phone is having user errors. Can residents of Arizona use Bovada without issue? Do you need a prepaid card to deposit?

Anybody have any information or educated guesses as to when Bovada will begin allowing Bitcoin withdrawals now that they've added the deposit feature?
What is their reasoning behind doing deposits only? Do you think they're trying to build up their own Bitcoin bankroll first?

Anyone else think btc has been ruining the games lately? Reg city.

Unrelatedly, sometimes when I have a table open too long I can't sit unless I close it and reopen. I click "sit here" but it just ignores me. Anyone else?

Yesterday, I bought a brand-new Chromebook, mostly to play Bovada tournaments..I take it out of the box, turn it on, log onto my network, attempt to download Bovada software and **** me, you can't download the client. The Chromebook, although a full sized laptop with keyboard, is in reality no different than an IPAD or phone..you can only play on the mobile site..JHC..

Bovada on Mac is still quite ****ty, getting used to client crashing over 20 times a day. The norm.

Honestly quite laughable that 34088 is a lag-fix, it barely works for macs still, if you every open or close the tournament menus, the client always crashes. Cash tables are always ratholed too.

Switching to casino tab made bovada run smoothly for me from a day after that guy posted it up until today...but now bovada is back to being as choppy as it was right after the trifling update

Did the 75 + 7 daily KO tourney at 4pm PST always feature a $15 bounty? Could have sworn it used to be $25...

Having the same problem.

I get to the sign in page, click sign in and it just thinks.....

After a while it gives a message

"You have been partially disconected. It will not affect your game play.

Please re- login at your convenience"

If you don't mind please let me know what you do end up getting. I would like to get a laptop or something portable I can play on that runs well with Bovada without having to play on the limited mobile site.

Just got an email from Bovada stating they are having technical issues.
No worries though. They are working diligently to fix the issues and they assure me my funds are safe.

Wow, great, been playing on 2 tables and now I can't log in. Bovada has got to be the ****ties software out there. I know people complain about ACR but compared to Bovada they get 10/10.

Am I saying good bye to my buy in right now and time dedicated or how do they usually handle this? I made a deposit few days ago but I am regretting it now.

I have fewer problems than I used to since the big update. Maybe I'm in the minority. Seems more stable. But I do get that partial disconnect thing from time to time. But no more than I used to when you got totally disconnected.
