Bunch of scared little bitches. Made all their $$ off the US players then run away at the first site of trouble.

Typical
From your words, I suspect youare a losing player at some level online. Your personal suck factor means little to this story. If your pissed about cashing out what is left, it's likely safer at either site than most american banks.
In order to get legalization within it's own borders, the U.S. feds must outlaw the competiton. This paves the way for U.S. based sites to begin the software devlopement(probably done) and get the sites up and running in each state that wishes to gain the revenue. Most players are more than willing to accept the current rake fees no matter who's site it is. Patience is the idea. Relax players, it gets better.

If this happened to WoW, the whole internet surrounding the USA gov's agencies would be dead for the next month.

We need the real nerds, not just the socially awkward under achievers.

I dont wanna have to drop down and play with 5 russian rakeback grinder for the rest of my life.

I am a convicted fraudster, and this is just the govt trying to get their slice and given the extent and #'s involved i hardly blame them.

These sites were committing out right bank and wire fraud as well as apparently bribes to smaller banks with promises of investment. Prosecuting a crime like this is hardly a partisan issue. Anyone thinking that they are determined to remove a tiny % of the populations freedom to play poker because they are some crazy regime is just flat out dumb.

These are completely crooked companies based on the indictment and while I and im sure others could rationalize their actions its still flat out fraud.

Haven't posted on here in years. The UIGEA & subsequent shutdown of Party Poker killed my online "career" as my earn rate shrank to a fraction of what the fry cook at McDonald's makes, but I still had a few hundred on Stars that I played recreationally with. I'm treating that like it's gone at this point.

My heart goes out to the U.S. players who still were grinding for a living. If I were in a position to help any of you, I would. Instead, I'll just hope that this sorts itself out quickly & you all can get paid, if nothing else.

To the rest of the world, I'd like to apologize on behalf of the country I was born in. Without going all political in a poker forum, there's a lot of crap the United States does which I (and most Americans) disagree with. This is yet another of those things.

I'm sure that long-term this won't mean the death of online poker in the United States. There's just too much money to be made from this thing for it to die off. If it's something actually run or at least signed off on by the U.S. government, well...it will probably be done completely bassackwards, but it will at least on some level be poker.

"Disenfranchised" doesn't even begin to describe my feelings right now.
