Wondering if anyone takes small action (some 10$ bets for the sake of good railing) on various bets on the challenge. I can send first if betting to some reputable members or escrow by some mod or w.e. Plz contact pm

Recently (let's say since PTR came into existence, although PTR is under maintenance so I can't check actual numbers) durrrr has not played much (winning) hunl. Most of his hands are either in 6max nl, 6max plo or hu plo (and live obv)*. Of the hands he has played HU, he has beaten martonas for 2 mil, lost 5 mil to isildur and lost whatever he's down to Jungleman. This MAY imply that since he hasn't logged many hands/had the results in hunl he may have been overtaken by a group of regs that have played it as their main game in today's poker environment.

Note this doesn't reflect my opinion, as I never play in those games and clearly don't have nearly enough knowledge to judge any of these guys' hunl game. What masq is saying though is that durrrr hasn't convincingly beaten anyone recently (apart from martonas) in hunl to suggest that he is still on top of that game. Obviously he beat up on a lot of people back in the day when it was his main game.

I mean I'm pretty sure this is the whole reason why some people think jungleman is a favourite. He has climbed to the top in today's games and has proven himself while durrrr has been playing other games and may have become rusty/fallen behind the curve. I just like to believe durrrr is the sickest online player there is and will beat anyone over the long run, but whatever my opinion doesn't mean **** and it's based almost entirely off fanboyism.

*I can't check PTR for his actual distribution amongst the games but whatever I'm preeeeeetty sure I'm right. Also he might have played other people in hunl for many hands I'm not sure. If he has just list them!

inb4 durrrr comes back and you all jump the bandwagon.

I'm pretty sure that 95% of the people whose opinion I acknowledge said that Jungle man would lead for like the first 15k hands, durrrr would comeback and win like the next 25k but jungle will prove too good in the end and win the next 10k. I myself believe this to still be true

That's a pretty LOL prediction. It's one thing to say you think a person has a certain edge e.g. 2ptbb. It's another to say you think one person will start off winning before the opponent figures them out... but to say first jungle will lead for 15k hands then durr will come back but then jungle will beat him back down again to win the last 10k and win it is just stupid.

obv thats not going to be a straight line. 1-2k hand swings are obv going to happen, but if you look at the end product i think that is what it will look like

Durrrrr blog:

so far jungleman and i have played somewhere around 7,000 hands and im down right about 700k. I cant seem to find the ftp page with exact results, so i’ll ask someone to make that a little easier (or explain to me why im dumb). Anyway obviously the challenge hasn’t gone too well so far, but luckily theres still 43k hands left and i’m hoping they will go a little bit better than the first 7k. We’re obviously playing this challenge a lot faster than patrik and i played the last one, so hopefully we’ll be done with it in a reasonable timeframe. Dan’s going to london too and said he might be busy there- which i also will be some, so there might be a slight lull for 3 or so weeks- but hopefully we’ll still play a few thousand hands in that time. I’d really like to finish this by the end of october or so (and hopefully be up at least 700k by then). Have to run now- but i’ll try to get a more detailed blog up sometime soon.

that's a pretty absurd prediction, dude

"The Colts will be up 7 to 3 in the first quarter, than the Saints will be up 14 to 10 in the second, then the Colts will...blahblahblahblah".

Let's take a look at some of the top HU NLH players on full tilt....

Urindanger - friends, won't play
Trex313 - " "
Omgclayaiken - " "
Jungleman12 - we all know the results
Urnotindanger2 - he's up on durrr
Zeejustin - Only 14k hands, but he's up $374k.
Isaac Haxton - can't really see if one is up or down hugely to the other

So any other HU NLH players who have played him that i've not considered?
You have literally missed so many players it's hard to continue this conversation. The issue is that you are only considering the currently highstakes players on FT right now. Durrr has been around for a long time, he has played many people to get to where he is. If you are so curious to see who these players are, trying searching the archives a bit for old durrr threads.

Mostly everyone has trouble predicting who will win this thing, and you're trying to predict who will be up after every few thousand hands? lol.
