Its comical that people are basically saying that this match is over and that dur is no good anymore... He is one of the best players ever and continually shows that he is, yes he is currently losing over 7K hands to another top notch player, the margin of skill between dur and jungleman is quite close and jungleman is obviously both running and playing well... This match is still far from over though, dur hasn't been playing at the highest level and beating anyone he faces for years because he is a loser, he will find a way to make a comeback and I hope win.

How much is Durrrr down, just read last couple of pages and i'm getting that he is? Been at a music festival all weekend so i was surprised to see it started already.

Also isn't Durrrr a big loser to Jungleman12?

That said, I truly hope Durrrr isn't broke by the end of this thing. At this rate, he stands to lose $5M+.

I mean he's been at the highest limits playable for basically as long as they've been around and he's stayed at the top the whole time. There's not much more of a testament to someone's game than crushing since basically the beginning of online poker. It's not that ridiculous that people will just automatically assume he's a favourite over anyone, especially if they don't have experience playing both him and jungle.

I'm not really saying my opinion on whose better though, I just think that's why some people would bet on durrrr.
hypocrisy much?

In a ring NLH game Durrr is a great player. As a HU NLH player against regular winning HU NLH players he's sub-par. Jungleman is one exhibit, Isildur1 another example and urnotindanger2 would also be another that go under the HU NLH winning players. These are players durrr has recently played and not had great results against. At least not good enough to qualify him as being the top HU NLH players or even top 3. This was my point and it still stands /
I would rethink your stance on urnotindanger2, seeing as durrr took a bunch off him over a few sessions recently. Regardless, you listing two players that he has failed to beat in HUNL recently does not validate your point that he has never beat anyone in HUNL - in fact, you are really arrguing to the contrary because if he were such a huge loser at HUNL you would be able to ramble a significant list of names he has lost to.

I'm willing to admit he has lost an edge in HUNL compared to when he was an up and coming highstakes player moving through the ranks, but to say he has not beat anyone is absurd.

its not that he lost an edge. Im sure 2010 durrrr is at least as good at HUNL as 2007 durrrr.

Its that he didnt really improve at HUNL and others did.

I think whats really impressive here is how jungleman became basically the best HUNL player in the world in a span of just two years. And this is with much tougher 2010 games. I really have no idea how one does this, its taken me six years of studying NLH to get where I am and im still way behind jungleman.

how do you know he didn't improve. seems impossible to not improve when you're playing nosebleeds for the last 3+ years

They played PLO in their session did they not?

Let's take a look at some of the top HU NLH players on full tilt....

Urindanger - friends, won't play
Trex313 - " "
Omgclayaiken - " "
Jungleman12 - we all know the results
Urnotindanger2 - he's up on durrr
Zeejustin - Only 14k hands, but he's up $374k.
Isaac Haxton - can't really see if one is up or down hugely to the other

So any other HU NLH players who have played him that i've not considered?

He's not afraid to move down and play smaller stakes to rebuild. Unlike durrr who after losing those sums to isildur (yeah he didn't have 100% of his action) kept on playing the biggest games available which is inevitably not good BRM (but it's not a major concern now he's on team FTP.)

How do you know it isn't good BRM? He could still have had 100 buy-ins (and ppl having %) after getting destroyed by isildur. It's pretty useless to make comments like this, because we simply can't know if he had $1M roll or $10M roll at the worst point of his downswing (and if he had % sold even after isildur-matches).
