That's because Bovada's installer doesn't put the executable file in the directory that the icon points to. Sounds complete ridiculous I know, that one of their programmers wouldn't actually install their software to test it, but that's what it is. Check the C:\Bovada\original directory and create an executable to the file in there.

Ya, that is very absurd. I can imagine alot of players that just can't figure it out so they give up on it. I created a shortcut to the file and sent it to my desktop so I can access it easier now. I'm not sure if that is the same as "creating" an .exe file tho, but all is good now and working through that.

Anybody know what the issue is?

It's clear what happens with money. But what happens with points now? Can they exchange them for money, since they couldn't play anymore? Or does Bodog takes them all? Thx for the answer.

What is the need for having both unofficial and official bovada threads? Seen multiple repeated comments in both threads.

Bovada thread is for Bovada players... Bovada is just an operator on the bodog network. This thread is for all players on the bodog network and deals with all situations that are network wide.

Have a problem with my laptop where I couldn't click on anything when opening the bovada client. It would open, I just couldn't click anything to log in. Sometimes after a restart or clicking alt ctrl dlt it would let me log in and maybe click a couple options in the filters but never enough to get to a game. Just won't let me click. After talking to my laptop company's support, doing a reboot to factory defaults and returning my laptop for a new one. The problem still exists. Bovada poker opens fine, just when I go to click on anything it doesn't budge or do anything. I can't close the client unless I go onto the task bar and right click/close. If I click the x on the window it just does nothing. BCP, and lock poker both work fine... It's a brand new laptop with a i5 processor and windows 7. Nothing is dl on it besides 3 poker clients n google chrome. Help?

the new mac client is the nuts compared to the lock poker mac platform...used to be a hardcore (4tableslol) bodog grinder back in the day....looks like bodog/bovada has made some decent improvements since then

the 4 table limit is so lol tho...any hackers wanna make some money to remove this plz pm

As previously in the thread, here are still lingering issues that remain unresolved since site went to anonymous players:

1) Order of tables in lobby
Lobby is very cluttered. 6 handed and 9 handed tables intertwine with each other. As in old software, they were separated in that heads up, 6 handed, and 9 handed tables would all be grouped together. Looking at doing this would really unclutter the lobby.

2) Sit out next big blind button
Sit out next big blind button does not work, and cannot be clicked on.

3) Pre clicking fold button
When clicking check/fold button or fold button to automatically fold, this feature does not always work. If someone else raises it forces you to click the fold button again (which slows games down immensely when players are unaware).

4) Buying more chips at table
Although improved, there is still a problem when u buy chips before the next hand starts, yet the action seems to lag, and at times, will not complete for the next couple hands. Also if you buy chips, win, the message comes up that you can't buy more than table maximum. Would be nice if some simple programming command could be entered into software where if re-buy "x" is more than table maximum "y", then it would just reload you up to "y": the table maximum.

If not fixed, in meantime would be nice to have an option "not to show this message" available so we wouldn't have to see the pop-up that 'your amount is over maximum' or 'chips will be available at the start of the next hand.'

5) Chat
Chat box keeps deleting text whenever there is action on another table

6) Auto-post blinds being unclicked by software
At random times, the auto-post blinds goes from being checked to unchecked, without any action of the user actually doing anything. This can be very annoying, as not paying complete attention, failing to click on the manual post blind button within the 5 seconds, will then have you sitting out.

7) New hand history not showing table names
I love the new hand history feature, yet when you indicate a time period, and takes you to the results screen, all table names are listed as (for example 1/2NL 6 max) $1/$2 NL - 6P. I really like how when you click one hand history number it will only show you hands from that table, however, trying to find hands from different tables is a tedious trial and error process where you have to keep clicking on random tables down then list, and if failing, going back to the main search page and repeating.

Listing the actual table name under the heading "Table Name" I'm sure was the intent, so would be nice to have this fixed.

8) Post and wait for big blind when entering table
Would be nice to have an option to post big blind when big blind comes around. As of now, you have to wait for an opportunity to join game outside BTN or SB, click wait for BB in the options, and then click auto-post for you to wait until BB to post.

I second jason403 post. Things particularly important: hand history, fold button doesn't work, deleting text in chat box when multitabling.

Before saying exchange them into tickets and play... Some have more than 500k points there... So points can't be used so quickly, besides it's August...

Hey guys.. a few things since the last update:

-There was a patch that was released shortly after the last update that should have fixed the note issues that players were having. If this is not the case, please let me know with all relevant information.

-There was a small release today that fixed the hand histories so that the [ME] is back in the hand history.

-The network has agreed to look at adding an option so that players can hear all sounds on all tables instead of just active table. They will also look into adding another warning sound when the time bank kicks in.

-The issue with not having an executable file when installing/reinstalling the software should be fixed.

-The issue posted where the player wasn't able to raise on his turn to act due to a short stack all in and call in front of him is noted and is being worked on.

If anyone has any questions, complaints, or comments about this or anything else.. as always.. please let me know.

I uninstalled/reinstalled just now and can confirm that the executable issue is now fixed.

However, I sat at my first table, 50c/1 table Great Ouse, literally just now, tried to put a note icon on a player and it didn't show up. I've had this issue pretty much every day. I usually just use the color tags and don't type notes in, but even trying to put some text in the notes field didn't help. So I'd say this is not fixed.

Well bugger. Is anyone else having this issue? If you are, as before.. send me the table you are at and your player number at the table.. and since this isn't a hand history related issue, send me the date and approximate time (with time zone) that you attempted to put the notes on.

This, please. Relevant whine - laptop monitor broke so have to play atm hooked up to TV with table overlap, last night flop top set in a multiway 3bet pot, 3bettor snap pots flop, i'm in a hand on another table thinking at the very least when it's my turn to act and the timer is going low it will beep - but no sounds at all and timed out. Was this changed in a recent update? I always remember it as if you have 'All sounds on' or even 'Action alerts on' that it beeps when it's your turn to act, and then also when the timer gets low.

I have one computer in the house that does not allow anyone log in.

The client comes up fine, and there is an opportunity to enter log in info, however no one is successful logging in. Other computers in the house work just fine.

I have tried (some at the recommendation of customer service
Uninstalling/re installing the poker software
Removing Norton Anti Virus
Having a different person try to log in
Called customer service 4 times

Nothing is seeming to work. Can anyone help?

So i just won a ticket to punta cana. (the $6k package). How do I cash it in? What steps do i take to get the $1,800 cash and cooperate for hotel & tourney info?
