Pretty much what bobo said... Being part of a network means that you are an independent operator that licenses the poker software, share the player pool, and share some promotions with the other independent operators of the network. Each operator is able to create and implement their own business strategies.

Unlike most networks, the Bodog skins were fully dividing their client base based on geography. Once a skin stops offering a service, say poker, customers aren't able to just sign up at another skin on the network. I've got no idea whether the skins can take players from countries they choose or are their hands tied by network rules.

Pretty huge difference, imo.

Great points, and definitely there are lots of big differences. My point was that the fact that one site chose to stop offering poker doesn't in and of itself mean they aren't a network - just one that gives each site exclusive rights to a territory, which of course is unfortunate for poker players stuck in a situation like this.

Fwiw when they had points to cash, it was like 1.5-2% effective rb. So your scenario sounds plausible.

I was going to deposit to your site, but i was told funds would not be posted to my account if i used western union online.. your customer service rep flat out lied and said, the reason that i couldnt use it was because they couldn't track the transfer.. then later changed her story and told me they could track it and that if i used it, they wouldn't put the funds into my account..

seems super shady to me..

Or perhaps she was confused or made a mistake.

so far i cant see anything else going on as far as comps/rewards. when i used to play at bodog. they had 100 percent reload bonuses at all times and the weak points to cash but it at least was better than this. you get 1 point for every 1-3 dollars raked lol. and its 14000 points to buy a ticket to a 150 dollars tourney haaha

Hey all, I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. I am thinking of moving somewhere east and want to play poker. What countries are they still allowing bodog? Anyone play from Japan, China, Hong Kong, Thailand? Thanks for the help.

Had a friend say that they didn't allow HK so is there a way you can convince me this is true?

Seems your friend is right. Players from Hong Kong and the Philippines are not able to join bodog88. Also CS told me, that they have restrictions on countries from the middle east.

Safest way is to contact CS and ask for a specific country, although they don't seem to be informed very well + their english is very bad.

Re: *** Official Bodog Network Support Thread ***

I'm glad to see that so far most players have been paid back, and I hope the rest of you will be as well. However, could we please keep this on topic (network wide issues). I do agree that this is important enough to be talked about, so I'm going to ask if one of the mods can move it into it's own thread so that the talk can be continued without interrupting the scope of this thread.

Thanks

Re: *** Official Bodog Network Support Thread ***

I would actually consider depositing onto Bovada/Bodog/Bodog88(?) if I could figure out what is actually going on within all of these threads. There are currently 3 or 4? unofficial and OFFICIAL Bodog and/or Bovada threads on the front page.

On which Bovada/Bofog/Bodog88 site can US players play - that is, IF they are even allowed to play?

Sorry about all the confusion. This thread is specifically for things dealing with the entire network. For the most part, this consists of game offerings and software related items. This also includes network wide promotions (such as the Black Diamond Poker Open tournament series that ran earlier this year).

The other threads are unofficial threads that allow players of those specific operators (Bovada, Bodog88 etc) to talk about things such as cash out times and promotions that you don't see me talking about (as they aren't network wide).

As far as your situation, US players are allowed on the Bovada operator.

Re: *** Official Bodog Network Support Thread ***

Ive deposited on bovada before using moneygram, I had to do it in person because the representative told me you cant do it online. Im looking to add more funds but would i be able to do the money gram online? I noticed earlier in the forum someone said it would be okay, but i just want to confirm, and is there a max limit?

Just dl your hh's and upload them to the 3rd party soft (name is escaping me, it is in bovada thread) and show us what you mean.

Just saying something isn't right without explaining yourself or providing any accompanying information is not helpful and is imo rig thread material.

edit: https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/16...pokeit-915205/

link to software

I just want info on which kind they use since there are several. Where do I even download my HH from and if you remember the site let me know because I have no intention of going to look for it, just fed up with all the stupid stuff every day. Not sure the last time I won an all in with the best hand but thats not really important anyways since my roll will be withdrawn from there the day they take away poker and who knows how soon they intend to do that since their managment is run by 10 year olds

edit: What exactly does that software do? Thanks. I found out how to download my HH but it only stores lets me download hands from the last 6 days LOL. What a ****** joke bovada is with this stuff. Basically I have to download these every single day. This wont show me anything really but my run bad over the last 6 days hahahah typical should have know this was too good to be true

Well stop playing then, I did. No one is forcing you to play.

fwiw I agree that the anon crap is bs and target for bots, collusion and no protection against 'house-players'. With that said formulating some sort of hypothesis with some data to back it up would be a better approach.

You can say all you were asking is what rng they use but it is obv what is really on your mind by reading your posts. Not bashing you just asking to provide some more info.

Does it really matter what kind of RNG they use? I never met a riggie that let facts or reality sway him from his belief that the site was set up just to make him lose.

But here ya go.
