ivey's mini-fro is the nuts.

I don't think Lederer is that great of a player and I've made constant fun of his terrible plays on HSP but saying that calling the push with 88 is an easy play is ridiculous.

Fact of the matter is, 88 is at the bottom of his range for raising there and Ivey is very very rarely pushing a hand that he dominates so hes up against either a coinflip or being dominated.

give him some credit for making a good fold.

Best play I saw so far was Durrrr re-raising Patrik's pot size river bet with a Q high flush and a pair on the board. Great read and play, imo.

I commented on that earlier - I agree it wasn't good play. But the AA vs 88 hand/AA vs AA and the 88 vs 99 are not shockingly bad hands the way he played them. He's made a few bad minor decisions but not enough to warrant all the flaming he's got here based on his PAD appearance in this cash game.

I think PA should be discussed, he's been one of the nittiest players at the table and has played almost every hand bad (in my opinion) and suffered for it. I'm not impressed for someone allegedly ranked as one of the top NLHE players.

It was not a good fold. The whole hand is simple shortstack strategy since the stacks are shallow. The dynamic of lederer being tight isnt enough to brake the fundamentals of shortstack play. 8's on the button with 24BB's raise to 4BB and fold ?

88 has 45% equity against Ivey having 66+ to ATs+. So its 100k to win 145k which would require the equity of 40% ? And there is still room tighten up iveys range which already is freaking tight.

its close only after you gave your sick range. Dont you get it. Its only close vs iveys tightest range possible, like we can know he shoves for sure all these hands and then we can assume there is a chance he shoves something else which makes it a +EV

Super easy call with 88? Good god some of you are ******ed. The fact is you same people wouild be making fun of him if he called.

-I think Howard's 88 fold was fine... IMO ivey isn't raising any two there, just so happens he got a hand that he knew Howard might be calling with worse. The same can't really be said with 44 or 77 IMO.

-Ivey's J9 turn bet vs. Eli was a little thin IMO, results notwithstanding... I don't think eli calls worse too often esp. since it looked like he was in a pretty cheery mood and not tilting at all.

-Dwan's barrel with AK seemed standard, and so did Ivey flatting all streets. Raising river seems thin imo, maybe plausible who knows.

Occasionally A high as well I think. Zigmund does some crazy **** when he smells a rat and I think betting in that spot looks like BS so he's betting the pair to protect the times he's bluffing.
