You’re missing the point. In Oakland blacks make up 1/4 of the population but account for 3/4 of the violent crime, with young black males being the primary perpetrators. That’s what OPD cops are exposed to. Now let’s substitute ‘redhead’ for ‘black’ with the aforementioned. Do you really believe there will be no implicit bias present in Officer Wookie as he approaches a car full of young redhead males?
