This thread is, like I said, literally a containment thread for team #cockroach's months long spam campaign to re-green BruceZ. MrWookie created it to have a place to move that crap to out of the Alta Politards.

Partly an aside: I always wondered a little bit about this peculiar situation... Forum A having a containment thread in Forum B. What I wondered was did jjshabado actually approve this 'post deportation'? What I wonder now is... will Teh Jabber-Wookie continue this 'post deportation' policy?

After Mr. Malmuth's recent post on the BruceZ fiasco, I can't really imagine team #cockroach putting up much more of a campaign, at least in Alta Politards. There might not be any practical use for this particular thread anymore anyways.

As for starting another thread to actually discuss the BruceZ fiasco(s)... well, there really are four distinct topics:

1. The Pre-Fiasco: This would cover BruceZ's adventures before tomdemaine 'outed' him. You know... friendly homework helper by day, bitter circus music critic by night. Not the kinda life for us Politards, mind you... but like Winning the Lottery for our lesser SMP crowd. I'll leave this topic to the members of team #cockroach... as it seems to be their sole area of interest.
   
   
2. The Fiasco Proper: Those ten or so days last Aug-Sept between when tomdemaine outed him, and when BruceZ started his infamous 'Rambo' pvn thread. Good times !!!1! But besides correcting team #cockroach's futile revisionism (dudes, all the posts are still there)... this is a well beaten dead horse.
   
   
3. The Fiasco's Fiasco: This carp is what is being contained ITT. And chezlaw is correct, this has nothing to do with BruceZ... he's been gone and history for getting close to a year now. It's pretty obvious he's not coming back.
   
   Still, team #cockroach spent the last several months whining and spamming. WTF were these dudes even thinking? Whatever... it's generated almost a years worth of LOLZ and head-scratching amazement. Without some members of team #cockroach spilling their guts... I'm not sure if this isn't played out as a topic. Kinda up to team #cockroach to keep supplying the material.
   
   
4. A serious () thread about the evils of 'tone policing': Using BruceZ's 'work' as a recent note-worthy example. Also discussing, specifically on the interwebs, how attempts at 'tone policing' can be effectively handled and/or dealt with.

I don't care how analytic or profound your thinking might be - if you represent management in the Fast Food industry, you shouldn't be talking about slave labor or cockroaches in any context. It's just bad business.

We have a thread for fiascos and TBDs, but we don't have a thread where posters who have grievances about BruceZ getting called racist can air them. I suggest we provide a safe place for them to do so. I'm sure that UNCHAINED moderators will not take any action on this thread in the spirit of not chaining the forum.

Yeah I'd have preferred not to have a ton of posts in a Bruce thread but given the conversation I was engaged with Foldn I don't have any actual complaints, the title was appropriate and the discussion had no business in the Mikel Brown thread.

The BruceZ Fiasco was over last Sept 4th. The Fiasco's Fiasco has run it's course. However... the evils of Tone-Policing remain.

Now, with this new title, every time a Tone-Policeman tries to derail a conversation by whining about race-hustling, or how terrible and mean using the R-word is... we can just retort: "Take it to the 'Grievances TBD TBD' thread, you BruceZ WannaB !!!1!".

So? He still chose to post here. There is no moratorium on discussing the posts made in other forums, either

You think all my posts are about Bruce and I can't prove you are definitely wrong even though you are. If I had had an objection to what you moved I would have said so but my posts are rarely about a grievance with Bruce being called racist. I'm suggesting the benign idea of a neutral title and they are still too upset to cope.

Ask yourself something: what on Earth do you want? Do you have any posts itt that have anything to do with Mike Brown that should have been left in the original thread? Are there any posts that you think should be extracted to another conversation? What are they?
