So... despite the avowed enthusiasm of a couple of members of team #cockroach to soldier on, I think we can effectively close the book on The Fiasco. The odious BruceZ has left the website. He left last year... and he ain't coming back.

However... I think there are several important points/mysteries that would best be reviewed here. These are
  1. The 'Fiasco' proper: This isn't one of those important points or mysteries. Despite the best effort of team #cockroach to obscure the record, BruceZ's posts are largely still there. This is a dead horse.

  2. Tactical advice for SJW's: This is worth another post (if it's worth posting at all). But briefly... team #cockroach was nice enough, over the last eight months of trolling, to turn the name 'Bruce' combined with the letter 'Z' into a sort-of brand-name for out-of-control Tone Policing. That hard work done by team #cockroach shouldn't go to waste... it should be expanded and memorialized.

  3. The continued Metamorphism of Teh Jabber-Wookie: Not really directly involved. But, one of the Tone Police type's go-to lines is "Wah, we're being shouted down by the meanies". Teh Jabber-Wookie's recent performance proves this alleged 'shouting down' is impossible on the interwebs.

  4. The Mis-adventures of Team #cockroach: By this I mean 'The Fiasco's Fiasco. Specifically the period following BruceZs departure (Sep 2014) and previous to Mr. Malmuth's recent relevant post (May 2015). That period when, as LetsGambool nicely phrased it...

I mean seriously, WTF was team #cockroach thinking here ??

I'll do you guys one better. Here's Martin Landau doing Lugosi drunk in his basement. Don't know how I missed this before:

Don't even know how to describe how awesome youtube is. We truly live in amazing times.

Still the greatest farewell in Hollywood history:

And while I post that, the entirety of White Zombie starts to play through no effort of my own! An embarrassment of riches:

So, fellow BruceZ posters, what are your favorite Youtube videos?
05-08-2015 , 12:56 PM
Don't look now, but our own cytri is laying some serious snack down in the SMP International Space Station thread.

Shame Trolly doesn't really want to talk about he means when he uses the term "tone policing" to describe my behavior. Shamer want you to thinks my criticisms are some diminished thing that is derivative and mockable, as briefly as possible, while sounding important. See here that there more elements than TONE which apply.

One could plausibly guess he is a truly dedicated to the political ignore campaign of team #willfullyuneducable and hasn't read the content of my criticisms and generated additional thinking that may be necessary on the matter. Which is a strategic as well as a tactical mistake.

The only reason I can fathom for why you would post this in this thread instead of in that thread is that you specifically wanted to know what we thoughts about the parts where Chomsky asserts that the people who committed the atrocities in Sudan must view Africans as sub-human.

I agree with what Chomsky said overall, but on this specific point, I disagree with what people's intentions are, in that I think that Chomsky's wording implies that he thinks it's because the people making our military decisions are racist when, in my opinion, it's really that they're sociopaths and think everyone who's not one of them is sub-human. The only difference between an African and a North American or European, in their eyes, is in how the way they treat them affects their own power.

That said, the fact that it is okay, in the eyes of the people who grant them their power, for them to treat those groups in different ways is solid proof that those people who grant them their power (aka, the people who vote for them), are racist (although it could technically be some other form of lacking empathy for people who aren't "one of us," but the distinction isn't really important). In addition, since their power comes from racists, whether they are technically racist themselves is not particularly important or relevant in fixing the problem, as these people are only mirroring society.

And, of course, my general position remains that the very worst thing you could do, if you were actually interested in helping to fix the problem, instead of exploiting it for your own amusement, is to yell and scream at them and berate them for being racist, as that will simply shut down their brains from even considering to think about what you've said, and they will not only go on believing as they do, but actually become more entrenched in their beliefs, no matter how many times you explain it.

Lol. This isn't the "show respect" subforum. Which war do you think I am fighting in?

What defensive mechanism, specifically, do you mean? Like in your screwed up little brain, was that some ****ing rapier like wit you cut me with?
Wat? I complimented you on your ability to maintain the belief that you aren't a completely ****ty person. Like, don't you know how to take a sincere compliment?!?

Your little temper tantrums are quite cute!

You post about me constantly, and when you're not posting about me you're posting about a handful of other posters here. All of them are left-leaning, generally disapproving of explicit bigotry(how incredible of a culture has SMP built that this is a big distinguishing mark? LOL), and sometimes make fun of how ****ing stupid chezlaw is, which makes you hate all of us so much.
Lol. Salience biased much? In real life (that is the big wide world that exists outside of your strange and inaccurate interpretation of events), I joke around with/at everyone. You are quite literally the only one other than Masque and Bruce who takes it real serious.

I will admit I am a bit jelly that others have taken over my previous job of having fun at FoldnDark's and Chez's expense.

So you've embarked on a grand trolling quest. This post I'm writing, if you respond at all, will be met only with nonsense about how you're excited that you got me to pay attention to you. You wound me up! Brian wins! Brian can't actually carry a ****ing conversation about, well, anything, but he got some of that sweet sweet attention.
Has nothing to do with attention. I enjoy your flailing about like a freak no matter who presses the button.

There are times when one cannot accept facts for fear of shattering one's being. As I listened to Mason's news, all of Bruce's life, since my first meeting with him as a playful little ball of black fluff ten years earlier, passed through my mind. From that moment on, I came to live within an insulated part of myself.

must be compensated for by the fun of observing them not enjoying having fun.

is it a once fun habit that has become an addictive burden or do those book things you're so fond of have some fancier ideas to explain their anguish?

I think it is mostly due to them having quite easy lives. One doesn't develop a sense of humor unless subjected to regular subjection to the indignities of life from a young age.

I'd bet that all of the humorless ones received participation trophies and never got the sublime joy of looking forward to government cheese delivery day.

Too boring. Might as well stick with the habit nonsense.
