HOLD THE PHONE.

There aren't enough dealers at the hard rock??? I know a couple people who deal, including one at the hard rock (but have lost touch with him) For as long as I can remember, they had a waiting list of people wanting that job ten miles long, this is not the case anymore? How does anyone know this? Are they hiring, then?

the pay has been cut anywhere from 30-75% depending on dealer, shift, day, etc since you needed to work internally for 6mnths - 2 yrs (about 2 years ago).

still a decent living for a 0 skill job, with just a GED, but not what it once was.

Earlier this year they cut all their Health Insurance out. And now the reality of real poker has set in and they are not making the sick money they are used to.
Still make more than most other places around the US tho Im pretty sure.

what does having a dui have anything to do with their work. Plenty of ppl in different industries or jobs have dui's. I don't get why you would reference a % of ppl that your'e not even sure of who have dui's and how it correlates.

How's the $1/$2 action midday Sundays? Thinking of playing some while the old lady is at work from 11a-4p.

TT

Hit and miss. You could get slammed with a table of regs but you should be able to spot them easy. It's usually pretty decent though. GL

Hourly rate?

I've been a lurker for a few months, but had to ask a question. I' sure I've played with some of you, although I usually play 1/2 and recently moved into 1/3.

What are you guys considering a decent hourly rate at THR. would it be 10 BB at the low limits?

Sorry, I know I can't give a sup bro untill I start buying in full at 1/3, but I'm working on it. Wife +3 can really erode a bankroll.

Hi, I'm going to be in the Tampa area in January for business for a few nights and am looking forward to dragging some pots at Hard Rock. I've played all over, but never in FL. What NL stakes can I expect to see? Is there a weird capped buyin rule? Straddles permitted? What's the wait for a seat on a Sunday, Monday, Tuesday night?

I'm going to be staying in Clearwater Beach. How's the drive to Hard Rock?

Probably around an hour drive from there.
1/2nl 40-100, 1/3nl 100-300, 2/5nl 200-600, 5/10nl 500-2500.
Mississippi straddle is allowed so you can straddle any position but the blinds.
may have to wait for 1/3 because might only be 1 or 2 games going but lots of 1/2 and 2/5 games going so not long wait if any.

You can expect to see 1/2, 1/3, 2/5, and 5/10 NLHE. You shouldn't have to wait too long if at all. You can straddle anywhere.

Edit: ParisRon beat me to it :/

By "hourly rate" do you mean how much can a good player expect to earn? That varies quite a bit, of course. I am not able to make anywhere near 10bb at the 1/2 game. That'd be 20 bucks an hour. One time I did some sloppy math to determine I was making 8 or 9 bucks an hour, that was over a year ago.

And what on earth do you mean by "I can't give a sup bro..."???

Nice, thanks Ron. Will be glad to no longer have to walk through rows of slot machines to get to the poker room.

Well Im pretty sure only way to get there is on the left side of food court they are opening that hallway(previously employee only) as the entrance hallway to the poker room.
So you will still have to walk through casino.

Oh, okay. I guess I'm confused as to where it is. I thought the room would be separate from the rest of the casino, similar to how it is in Hollywood.

Yea its out back by the smoke shop. But since there is no parking back there for customers and they dont want people walking around back there from the parking garage then they will probably just have the 1 entrance next to the food court.

Unlike Hollywood you wont have to go outside to get to the poker room, except maybe 5 feet or something. We will have to wait and see.

New poker room update:
Starting at Midnight tonight(Tuesday night) Thru Thurs. at 5pm there will be no poker rewards accumulated and hours will not count toward the freeroll.
As they will be moving the bravo system and many tables during that time.

By Thursday there will be 15 tables in the old room and 35 tables in the new room and everyone will be playing at the 15 table old room until 5pm Thursday when they move everyone over the 35 table new room. Then they will move the other 15 tables over.
