Yup. She's a sweetheart too. We've talked a fair amount over the years and, while I hate making assumptions on a case without all the facts, she's not someone I could see making something like this up.

Isn't one of them a cocktail waitress at the Silks?

bump

Do the tournaments have dealer addons in addition to the rake shown on the schedule?

looks like they do have addons. Hard Rock has a 200+40+10 I assume on Wednesday. That is some sick juice, especially since I assume half the field is gone in 3 or 4 hours

No money to be made in Tampa Hard Rock MTT's. Rake is too solid.

Structure of tourneys has a patience factor of negative 30. Don't waste your time.

You could play Derby Lane Halloween Tourney.

1:00 $132+18/ plus $5 dealer add.
$50 bounties
10k chips
25 minute blinds. should get 175 runners imo

She was, apparently. Perhaps not anymore, but she was definitely cocktailing within the past 4-6 weeks at the Silks.

Unless she only works early shifts I'm pretty sure it's still no.

My God these players are bad. How are all thse people not broke yet?!? (But thank God they're not.)

Example A: Last night 2/5. 5 limpers, SB calls. BB makes it 30. All call around to the SB who raises 100 more. All call.

Someome please tell me what sort of hand a regular mortal can have that limps for 5, calls 30, then calls 100? lol

(After this hand, I made a mental note: Don't try to bluff the 1 seat, the 2 seat, the 4 seat, the 6 seat, the 7 seat, the 8 seat or the 9 seat.)

Some of those. But what won was 5-6.

But, of course, it was suited.

I hate when they are suited cause you can only make one flush. Offsuit gives you the possibility of making two different flushes. Gotta keep your options open!!!!!!

I will be in the Tampa, Florida area in a few months and had some questions that I was hoping some of you could answer.

Firstly, which poker room (or rooms) is/are the better one(s) to play at for the lower stakes, no limit cash games, $1/2 or $2/5. Also, what are the buy-in limits at each game? How does the poker room take the rake? (every 30 min or hourly per player or a % per hand).

Thanks for the info!

1/2nl and 2/5nl are all pot raked. They are all 10% up to $5 max but the tracks round up($26=$3 rake,$36=$4 rake, etc.) and the tracks all have $2bbj drop.
Hard rock is the better place to play and they dont round the rake up and the bbj drop is $1. Also you get .60/hour comps for 1/2nl and $1/hr for 2/5nl.

At hard rock they have 1/2nl 40-100, 1/3nl 100-300, and 2/5nl 200-600.

Thanks for the reply. Will be out there at the end of Feb. and can't wait to see how the action is since the limits/buy-ins have changed and how good the players are (or aren't). I live around St. Luois, MO, and the general talk in the rooms is that it's easy pick'ns for good players. Of course, most of it is hear-say.

We have 4 poker rooms: 2 have little action, 1 is ok (better on weekends), but only 1 of them has consistent action all week (1/3 NL at Lumiere, downtown STL). But, regardless of the action level, most of the players are good in all the rooms. You'll be lucky to have 2 fish at the table.

Okay, just read online that THR is holding WPT Fall series? Am I that high or is this correct?

I picked a ****ing terrible time to go to Vegas apparently...

I am that high, it's at Seminole. But either way... I would love to be playing the lead in events for $500 bones... fml

On another note, how are the 2/5 games at THR right now? I am coming home sometime next week (me thinks) and I actually have a proper 2/5 role now. Vegas has been treating me well.

Do you know how many tables the new room will have? Will be nice to have a smoke free room. I assume it's separated from the rest of the casino.
