That's crazy. I would definitely talk to a floor about that and complain til I got comped something. Once, at Derby, they were giving away a car. Once your name was called, you had two minutes to get to the desk and claim the prize. They called the first and second person, to no avail. They announced the third person and he went up and was declared the winner. THEN, a good minute or so later, they announced that the second person called was actually there and had won. I never heard how that was resolved but I would have been piiiiiiiisssssssssssssssssssssseedd.

What's the play like here? Is it very tourist packed or are there an insane amount of regulars? I live in Orlando, but I am looking to get some action in whether it be at the Hard Rock or Daytona, whichever is better for action.

Was it a monster pot or something?? I was there once when a guy passed out and fell out of his chair but he was revived. The whole room applauded the EMS workers.

yeah he actually died. the performed CPR prob for about 20-30 min and he actually started breathing again but then coded. Never recovered and they just wheeled him off.

on another note, this is my first time back home since the limits changed and i will be at THR a lot for the next 2 weeks. If you see me come say hey. I dont post here all that often but I have been lurking the forums for years. I am a younger asian and I prob will be wearing a black northface jacket and a rays hat and Dre's headphones.

Dont know the guy but Ive played with the guy in question a few times and he was really cool, quiet, and obviously loved our beautiful game that is poker. For you guys to come online and anonimiously mock and crack jokes is disgusting.

Jesus, I had a feeling he was actually alive and this was spam bs itt. I was 3 tables away and saw him get carted off; didn't see any movement, but ppl at the table said he was still alive. Then I come on here and read 2nd molar's post and now I'm confused. I've already told this story to several family members bc it was shocking to me to have someone die in such a close vicinity to me (and it not being a hospice).

im only going by what the cardiologist that tried to revive him told me. i sat next to him after the event occurred and realized he was the guy giving him cpr. so i asked what are his chances, etc and the guy said he had less than 5% chance of living and he could never get him into a breathing rhythm, and that he was gasping for air the whole time.


im glad he lived if thats true.

I guess I should apologize and point out that I was only repeating what I was told. I did see them trying CPR and know that less 7% of CPRs work. See u all at the tables

They do have onsite EMT. Some of the securtity guards are also EMT trained.

I believe that the man you are all talking about was my father. Was this at the Hard Rock in Tampa on Saturday night? Thank you Mikess2001 for being kind. He DID survive after being revived 7 times....he is talking and stable...it is a miracle. I just want to know some details if any one of you was sitting next to him. Did he just collapse...fall out of his chair??? Did he win?? My father is an amazing man..full of life and just went to the casino w/ my husband to play a little poker.....my husband didn't even know that this was all happening while he was there....if anyone has any details...please do tell..but be nice...this is my father....Even I had a joke or two after finding out it happened at the poker table.....
