Can you explain this?

Do you mean that famous people put multiple barrels in?

Or perhaps people who were doing something to better the world in which they live, and are, therefore, "somebody"?

Or perhaps, it's an existential/philosophical "anybody"? In that we're all "anybody" and therefore everybody put multiple barrels in? I think this may be it.

(But since I didn't, does that mean I'm nobody?)

Anyway, if you can enlighten us as to your meaning, I for one (none?) would appreciate it.

If you're against reentry tournaments, you're an antibody.

If you're against all gambling, you're a nobody.

If you didn't cash, you're a homebody.

If you played online during the breaks, you're a busybody.

If you cashed, you're a somebody.

And if you shipped it, you beat everybody!

The reason people put so many barrels in was the sick value from all the satellite winners. If they don't have as many satellite entry I think you will see a lot of people not put near as many bullets in.

I'm assuming the 2/4 Limit game is unbeatable because of the rake?

I played it a weekend ago and obviously it was the softest game I've ever seen. Just curious if there's a chance it is +EV when I just want to hang around and have a few beers.

I'd think 1/1 or 1/2 nl would probably be better.

any update on new chairs? I played 2 nights ago, really enjoy the new 9 handed tables. Not only is there more room but it's easier for opening 1 or 2 extra tables at 1-2nl.

Interesting. I know the dealers just got new chairs, hopefully this wasn't just for them.

First post in a while, mostly a lurker. Have been playing professionally for a few years and recently moved to the Tampa area. Hard Rock Tampa has become my main room. Biggest issue I am dealing with there is a group of players who play the games I play (2/5 nlhe and 2/5 plo) are quite clearly colluding and / or sharing a bankroll. They have been caught squeezing players in plo, as well as checking nut hands on the turn to each other with another player all in (1 told the other quietly that he had top set, then bet 25 on river into 900 w nut boat). They seem to play exclusively together, at the same time, and almost always in adjacent seats. Worse still, they speak another language to each other between hands.
Management does not seem interested in addressing this. I have logged several formal complaints and try to avoid games they are in. Any other suggestions????

But i guess you cant post photos or descriptions here (board rules etc)..

If management does not do anything, the players have to stick together!

I think anyone who puts any amount of serious time in this room knows who you are talking about. They keep to PLO, unless there is no game going. I know there are other players who will leave when they show up at a game.

What exactly does management say to you when you bring it up? Do they deny it's happening, say they will watch for it, say there isnothing they can do, etc? What response do you get?

Yes, the regulars know exactly who you're referring to. There was talk awhile ago that at least one of them would be banned, but it never happened. And I'm one of the players who will not sit in PLO if they are there. If I were you when the hand you described went down, I certainly would've called for a supervisor and told what I had heard, and then asked the other players at the table what the hell we were thinking, playing in a game with those two. (And immediately left if they weren't shown the exit.)

Management basically says "prove it" which is completely rhetorical. How can I prove something subjective? Signaling, squeezing, softplay, collusion can all be explained away. And they certainly are never going to review tapes, it's probably not feasible to do so logistically or financially.
I have been discussing with other regs, but only a couple other guys are taking it seriously. It's even affecting some long term friendships, which is unfortunate.
Is nobody really ever going to confront these clowns? I have called them cheaters to their faces and told the table that they are playing as a team, but feel like I am alone, especially as a newer player to the room.

Everyone knows exactly who he's talking about. Just no one knows what to do about it.

I don't even play PLO, and I know who you're referring to. Assuming management who checks in here are actually interested in doing their jobs, then maybe they'll keep a closer eye on it. You could possibly pm the room rep with descriptions, as that would circumvent posting that publicly. (someone let me know if that's incorrect)

Other than that, I'd go straight to the top (meaning the new room manager) with other players who have caught onto this. It's much harder to ignore/deny it's happening if multiple players report it at the same time.

Sadly, in my few trips to SHRTampa, this appears to be a readily available tool for colluders and 2nd-language cheats to use here. Good luck going "straight to the top" within the poker room, I'd rather see you go to the top of the casino management instead, or as well.
But, with a new manager, give him a chance. But deal with him, directly, not an underling who will tell him what he thinks he wants to hear.
What would help?...more floors, in the area. I've seen the bigger PLO game area- a 1/2 walled off private area, quiet, keeping others out- which IMO increases the prevalence of collusion, cheating, team play. Put that game right up front, Table 1, right over where the low limit stuf goes,- THEN see how its run. The big 5-10 and 10-25 NL games at Foxwoods are held- yep- right next to the walkway, in the middle of the room, just to the right of the desk, in full view of everyone. (they use retractables to keep onlookers a few feet away). I bet this would change the makeup and faces of the game, but it would be a more honest game than what you have now. The 2-5 PLO at NaplesFt.Myers 2500max is also played right in the middle of the room, not in some secret little room either.

the point above is one of my peeves about this room. i haven't been down since october. but everytime i go i find it frustrating that that the floors aren't on the floor. they all just hang out around the podium. so if you want a ruling, a seat change, anything... you either have to walk to the front or scream at them across the room.

if they were on the floor they could manage table changes (both in accommodating players who do it properly and stopping players who do not), they could immediately respond to rulings and grievances, and they could help keep a look-out for cheating and non-english at the tables.

rant over. see you guys in march.

That's perfectly fine, as PMs are outside of B&M and that's a B&M forum specific rule.

I would like to know in detail what this room's stance is on verbal action out-of-turn. I was in position in a heads up pot earlier and my opponent said "I'm going to check and let you bet, then I'm gonna raise you." In this hand I flopped top set on a super dry board and we were both 250bb+ deep so this was obviously a big deal. If the verbal action was binding then I obviously put out a massive overbet, he is forced to raise me and I take his stack.

The dealer insisted that it was not binding because it was out of turn and she had seen this situation many times. I spoke to one of the morning supervisors and he told me that if the guy had said "raise" only, rather than saying it after the word "check," then it would have been binding. I have to ask on here because I'm sure different supervisors will give different rulings.
