You're welcome. Indeed it is. The guys at our table who were in the 2 and 3 seat were the ones who did not want to chop initially, serves em right.

General question. In regards to hourly comps from poker, how do i use this money and what can I use it for? Thanks

You ask at the poker desk for a voucher for the amount you want to use. You can then use that voucher to make a purchase at the many restaurants or stores in the Hard Rock.

Occasionally, the vouchers can also be used for special event tournament buy-ins. They have done that for any of the tournaments in the last two regional WPT events, including the SNG and MTT satellites.

Agreed... However since he was the one who asked to see, if it was the winner, and you misread your hand, it would be live. I like how most rooms are using IWTSTH now, the player that wants to use it has to have a valid reason to request.

Seat 1 was active but he was getting the worst of it against me, I double barrel bluffed him, then got a nice value bet with 2nd pair on him, then called 110k on the river with a pair of 3s in a weird pot and they were good. I busted him with 1010 in 4th. The biggest pot I won was the guy on my right openshoved and I woke up with QQ, sending him home in 6th.
Lucky that seat 10 ran like crap, crazy he was the first one out.
congrats!

out of curiosity, what were the pay-outs for 7th and 9th?

Congrats again Provolone. Damn, those 7th and 9th place pay outs definitely leave much to be desired. I Busted out of last night's final $290 WPT tourney on about the 4th hand lol when I made a horrid call with AA. I planned on only firing one bullet and just leaving if I busted and would watch Boardwalk Empire- but I couldn't handle the fact that I had only played 3 hands so I re-bought and ended up chopping the 99 person tourney 10 handed for $2,367 Makes me feel a little better about firing 3 bullets in one of the $200 turbos last week and not cashing...

Hey man good stuff, I was in seat 7 I think - although it could have been seat 8 - black T shirt, or a brown sweater. What seat were you in at final table?

I was in seat 1 in the black hoodie. Before the last 2 tables broke were you at the FT? It took forever it seemed like to get rid of those last 2 or 3 to get to the money.

Thanks. Yeah, after playing the turbo I basically realized that it's a huge crap shoot - with ridiculous rake - and you probably should be rebuying if you're going to enter it at all - but then if you rebuy you nd up paying so much money to the house that I almost can't stomach it. For my 3rd rebuy there were like 65 people out of 98 remaining or something like that. So, essentially you're able to enter a turbo tourney, with a ton of dead money added - and everyone is pretty much short stacked - which of course adds to the luck factor - but it can also add to the skill factor in how poorly people at THR play a short stack.

An example of how herrendous players' thought processes can be - last night's tourney:
A guy shoved K5ss on the button with 12k chips at 600-1200 and some ante - i woke up with 77 in the sb and called him for 1/6 my stack and my hand held. After the guy left my whole side of the table was critiquing his 10bb shove on the button with a suited King as horrible and they could not understand how he just gave away his stack lol. Even when I pointed out that the guy's move wasn't that bad he had 10bbs and was on the button - they couldn't fathom where I was coming from.

If you have a lot of comp dollars, make sure to check the menus and prices of where you want to eat so you can pay all or most of the bill with a voucher, but without going over (once a physical voucher is created, the voucher dollars are not refundable and can only be used on one restaurant check).

Also, if you are at a sit-down restaurant, be sure to tip on the full amount of the check before the voucher is applied. Vouchers cannot be used for tips.

Hey Everyone,
I'm looking for some advice on a place to stay for three weeks in December to January. Coming in from NY to grind full time during my college break. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I can't find anywhere on the hard rock site what the max buy ins for cash games are since the removal of the cap. Could anyone direct me to where it says, or know off the top of their head? Thanks

5/10 is $500-$5000.
10/20 I think is $1000-$10000 but it rarely runs.
10/25 is $2500-unlimited.

Which game is the softest? Is it worth playing 1/3 or just going straight to 2/5?
