How are the games right now, typical Monday or has the weather kept people away?

Bad weather usually makes it busier because the people that work outdoors now come to the casino. It is an average monday, my table was crazy for sure.

They were starting to recover the tables again today. Its a different material and color. Looks much nicer and hopefully that material won't get as nasty as the current ones do.

New tables look good. The betting line/area is smaller. I asked a dealer, and they are keeping it as a betting line. Chips/cards will be closer to the dealers, which will mean faster play. The extra area on the outside is good for players, so that we have more room for chips (when we get them).

Another great piece of news? Starting July 1st, you will be allowed to "buy the button."

I also had a dealer a couple of days ago say that sometime soon they were going to go to "no flop no drop". I was skeptical. I asked a couple of other dealers, who both said they didn't think so. Would be great.

A waitress said a funny thing today. You may have noticed they went to the half size bottles of water (which I hate). They are about the same width around, but half the height. A player joked to a waitress that next time he may have to order two bottles.

The waitress (seriously) said "no way. They went to the smaller bottles so that we could carry more on our trays, and having two would defeat the purpose of the change."

I thought it was funny that one, she thought a shorter bottle gave you more space on the tray, but mostly two, that she thought the HR would actually do anything with the purpose of helping out the waitresses.

On another note, the air conditioning in the poker room either was out completely or barely on at all. It got really hot and humid in there. As one who bitches about how cold it is in there, I can now appreciate that it is a lot better to be cold than hot. Mostly something about odor molecules being more volatile in hot air and therefore travelling farther!

The trays are lighter.

Well they did mostly lay the waters down on the tray because the bottoms were usually dented in some way and they would fall over, these can all stand up on the tray so they can fit more on the tray. Obviously thats not why HR did this tho.

You can order 2 at a time or coke/cofee and a water, etc. They are suprisingly 10 oz bottles even tho they look like 6 oz.

Its a huge money maker (well, money saver) for the HR...even if they're saving 5 cents a bottle. LOL at them telling the waitresses its to help them...and than them believing it....and then telling the customers... Lol!

I swear man...this ****ing place! I like chillin' at the Rock but one day im going to order a Coke and they're going to bring it to me in a ****ing shot glass.

I guess they didn't factor in the fact that now it's even harder to get a spot at the sink in the restroom to wash your hands, as there's twice as many water bottles to fill up!

OK, that's not true. Unfortunately, there's never a line to use the sink, since so few people actually wash their hands in there anyway.

How does it save them any money? I have to drink the same amount either way. It's my body that sets the amount of water I drink, not the size of the bottle.

Friday night sat down to play at table 43. Lots of commotion on table 42. Seems that someone stole $100 in chips from the stack next to him when the guy was absent. The word was they caught the guy, he paid back the 100, but not sure what else happened

Some others may have got money back from the thief as he won some money using the stolen chips.

All the details i gave could be off, other than everyone seemed to confirm that the chips were stolen in the first place. Seems odd after we had a bunch of threads in b&m on stolen chips then we have a case at THR.

Picked up my promo sunglasses today. They seem nice except for one problem. There is a bad glare and its a reflection of your own eyes. I haven't tried them out in the poker room yet only at home, so hopefully the different lighting will make it better. They come with a hard case and cleaning cloth.
